I was wondering if any one else applied for the GN internships that THR had posted last week... I was just curious if anyone had heard anything???

Mannan03- did they tell you how many they are hiring, or when you might know????

I'm glad it went well!!! Was it intimidating with that many people?

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be the nurse managers were very nice. The residency is actually 2 years long with the first 6 months you rotate through all 6 icu's and ED. Your schedule will constantly change depending on your preceptor but for the first year it will all be day shifts. I'm not sure how many will be hired once I find out I will post it. Good luck next week, you will do fine.

Well, I had an interview scheduled with THR women's services in HEB, but I turned it down due to I really thought I had a job in correctional nursing in big spring-I was wrong!! Received letter today that was not chosen for position-that's what I get for being greedy and wanting more money:crying2:

Yeah, always keep interviewing until there is a letter of offer in front of you. So sorry that happened - keep the faith.

I just got my offer letter today:yeah:. at first they told me I would know no later then the second week in November but I got it today. They are hiring 18 GNs for the Fort Worth cc/ED residency.

I have had two offers closer to home and plan to accept one of them (the one I just got today!), so dropping out of this particular race. Good luck everyone!

If you dont mind me asking, what is your gpa. I'm soo excited for you!!! I havent heard anything from the other THR internship, I know I didnt get this one I got a generic email stating that the first round of selected applicants are being interviewed and if they need more they will contact us blah blah, lol., but on another note I passed my Hesi Exit exam today!!! :)
