Texas Christian University (TCU) | Texas Woman's University (TWU) CRNA School Application for 2020

Published

Hey everybody! I am planning on applying to TWU and TCU for the year 2020 and I am curious how competitive my stats are. I have 2.5 years experience in the CV/CICU at a Magnet teaching hospital. My overall GPA is 3.5. GRE 309 ( 306 V 303 Q 4.0). I have my BLS, PALS, ACLS, CCRN-CSC-CMC. What are my chances of getting in?

I’m having a difficult time understanding TCU’s program sequence... The whole primary clinical site vs distance learning options. Can anyone dumb it down for me? Where are you supposed to live?

The Distance Education works if you have 2 or more people going through the program at the same time. There is a little extra $ per credit hour to cover the cost of the equipment and broadcasting. My current hospital was not initially set up to be a distance education facility although we have RRNAs from TCU that come through so we already have the equipment in house. We got it set up to be a distance education site now and the only other thing that was required was a dedicated room 3 days a week, which can be a problem for some facilities. Hope this helps. I will see whomever on August 27th for interviews at TCU, mine is at 1540.

Check your junk mail. That's where my interview email was. ?

Received my email from Texas Wesleyan for an interview earlier today ?

Was it the second email for scheduling your interview? @ARtoTXNurse

I haven’t gotten my second email yet sorry @inspiredbynavy

I’m just “patiently” waiting...

Does anyone know how many people apply at TWU and how many get invited for interview? Trying not to go my hopes up too much.

The accreditation site says 300 qualified applicants and 100 admitted

If y'all want to follow a current TWU student on instagram @domarnold_srna is in TWU's program currently doing clinicals. He often does Q&As with his 65k followers and has answered some questions about his program.

Just received a second email stating to wait for a third email with a link to sign up for priority interview time which will be from Oct. 28-30.

Just received a call from Wesleyan in order to set up a FaceTime interview?? Did not know this was an option. It’s in two weeks.

Nice, that prob means you are a shoe in. Do you mind me asking your clinical site preferences and stats?

A facetime interview? That's wild! Let us know what happens after
