Hey everybody! I am planning on applying to TWU and TCU for the year 2020 and I am curious how competitive my stats are. I have 2.5 years experience in the CV/CICU at a Magnet teaching hospital. My overall GPA is 3.5. GRE 309 ( 306 V 303 Q 4.0). I have my BLS, PALS, ACLS, CCRN-CSC-CMC. What are my chances of getting in?
So I’m frantically running around trying to get my TWU application done. I was accepted to a CRNA program then got it resended bc my BSN was not regionally accredited. UGH So I’m trying to complete my application to TWU before the deadline. Anyone know...Does PALS have to be completed before the application deadline or is that something that I can do after? My chemistry course is older than 5 years, do I need to have it started this fall or can I take it next Spring? Thanks!!

TWU has a rolling application deadline, so don’t fret. The *priority* deadline is Sept. 15th, but they accept applications as late as mid-December. Two people at my facility got their applications in well past the September deadline and they both were accepted to the program back in January.
However, I do know that TWU is also very strict, and if the accreditation situation was an issue elsewhere, it wouldn’t surprise me if the issue resurfaced with TWU.
I believe PALS needs to already be done at the time of application. They might make an exception to that, but it’s going to make your application look much better if you just already have it done. The chemistry class must be within the last 3 years and it does not have to be complete by the time of your application- just by the time you begin the program (Amanda told me they needed the official transcript by June 1st)
I only know this bc I went through the process with TWU this past year (ended up being waitlisted)
Hope this helps!
