Texas Christian University (TCU) | Texas Woman's University (TWU) CRNA School Application for 2020
TWU has a rolling application deadline, so don’t fret. The *priority* deadline is Sept. 15th, but they accept applications as late as mid-December. Two people at my facility got their applications in well past the September deadline and they both were accepted to the program back in January. However, I do know that TWU is also very strict, and if the accreditation situation was an issue elsewhere, it wouldn’t surprise me if the issue resurfaced with TWU. I believe PALS needs to already be done at the time of application. They might make an exception to that, but it’s going to make your application look much better if you just already have it done. The chemistry class must be within the last 3 years and it does not have to be complete by the time of your application- just by the time you begin the program (Amanda told me they needed the official transcript by June 1st) I only know this bc I went through the process with TWU this past year (ended up being waitlisted) Hope this helps!

I think they are keeping us on standby to fill spots once they evaluate which spots are open after everyone accepts their seat. (Maybe that's just my hopeful wishing and what makes the silence make more sense). Better than rejection, right?

Ah, sorry. Didn't see the question right above mine or else I wouldn't have asked that. Lol

Have you heard anything yet, good or bad??

TWU CRNA 2018
I'm in the same position you are right now. It's a strange place to be, really. I neither have confirmation nor closure, and I don't know what to make of it.

I got an email from Dr. Tubog on Sunday (1/21) saying they were in the process of tabulating numbers and would know in 1-2 weeks. So, the beginning of Feb. is right around 2 weeks from when he sent that, so I guess it could potentially take up to that long- but hopefully we will know sooner than that.

We all are! That refresh button is HOT. Haha. Which sites did you put down?

TWU CRNA 2018
Did you get the Shreveport or the Alexandria clinical site? Haven't heard anyone say anything about Shreveport yet, that's why I'm asking. That was one of the ones I put down.

TWU CRNA 2018
OMG yes. I know more about cholinergic receptors than I ever wanted to know. I was like please ask me about ARDS and Nimbex! But nope. Of course that isn't how it went down. Would have been too easy. Lol

TWU CRNA 2018
My interview was one-on-one last Wednesday the 17th, but only because the other two people interviewing for Louisiana sites rescheduled due to weather. My interview took the entirety of the whole hour. Not many personal questions at all (maybe 1-2) but predominantly clinical related questions. I was mentally prepared for a group interview but I think they had the chance to get to know me better with the one-on-one, which also meant more questioning (some of which I stumbled through a bit). Lol. So I think there are pros and cons to both types of interview.

Lots of people with MICU experience at this interview, that's kinda neat. And Willis Knighton. How about you?
