Texas Children's Summer 2020

I wanted to start this for students/first year nurses who are applying at Texas Children's for the summer 2020 cohort, the application should open end of February/March. If anyone has insight to the firm timeline, good contacts, unit specific knowledge, this would be a good place do talk about it!

Did he say anything about us being considered for the fall or if we are able to apply for the fall?

He just said that we were welcome to apply for the fall residency, but that’s it

So whenever I called Ian like 2 weeks ago, he said only the people who got emails saying they were pausing offers were the ones who were getting offers. He was sent a list of people from the managers to email for every department and thats who were getting offers. ?

A different recruiter called me. She said it was cancelled and they didn’t have an exact date for their next round. She said after my year of experience I can apply directly to the unit and I would be given preference since I was already offered through the residency.

hello, I'm still in my 3rd semester of nursing school and I just wanted to know if you can only apple to texas children's if you have a GPA of 3.5 or above? I need some sought of hope, my past semester was super rough.

Girl no! I graduated with a 3.3 and applied to them with like a 3.2 & received an interview. Apply!

We are still on a hiring freeze (at least for people who have no experience) and I have heard we aren’t taking nurse residents this next round, but I don’t know if that’s true

Do you think y’all will resume the residency program for May 2021 graduates?
