Texas Children's Summer 2020

I wanted to start this for students/first year nurses who are applying at Texas Children's for the summer 2020 cohort, the application should open end of February/March. If anyone has insight to the firm timeline, good contacts, unit specific knowledge, this would be a good place do talk about it!

Same as well I didn’t receive an email and I have been trying to get in contact with them and have had no luck at all.

Me too... I talked to my old boss and she said a lot of people are having to take PTO so it would make sense if a lot of HR is on PTO since they are on a freeze right now and not super needed?

Has anyone been able to get ahold of any HR or recruiters? I've tried emailing and calling but no response. I'm wondering if they are still planning on hiring at all or if they are planning on cancelling altogether.

Also - how long are you guys planning to wait before taking other offers?

I got ahold of the recruiter who sent the email about pushing offers to late Spring and he cc’d a a talent acquisition manager and she responded too. However, they both just said they were apologetic that the delay might be affecting me personally and that they will let me know about any new information when it becomes available to them. So really didn’t change anything much to reach out to them.

I’m not 100% sure...just sucky to not know where TCH’s head is at. Any updates about changes to the hiring pause? Last I heard it was still June 1st, but curious if anyone else had heard anything different

Hi Guys I have a friend who works there and her close friend is interviewing for the fall start next month already. I haven’t heard from anyone yet?
