Tetanus Shot--Did yours hurt??

:crying2:Well I had the tetorifice shot today and I must say, shots normally dont bother me, but my arm is literally throbbing and killing me and that is AFTER taking two aleve! Did you guys have a similiar result with this shot or I am I just lucky??

my tetorifice shot did not hurt after all. my hep b shot killed me and i have to go tomorrow for the 2nd out of 3 shots.

My nurse warned me that my tetorifice shot could hurt up to a couple of days. And it did. They say to try and move your arm as much as you can to work that muscle. Mine was so sore the first night I was up for a few hours. Ugh-glad it's over for me.

I wonder if it has to do with the actual injection medication or how the nurse gives it? Mine did it REALLY fast, and I thought "wow that wasnt bad!" but boy did it ever hit me later!

I couldn't even raise my arm without it hurting for over a week. It was swollen for about 5 days and was bruised for 2 weeks! Getting all of these test and vac. done for school is making me feel like a human pin cushion!!

LOL thats exactly what my sister told me today! It makes me feel productive though knowing I am on the road to nursing!

It'll be soooooo worth it when we're done!!!!! I have my 3rd Hep B left and then I'M FREEEEEEEEEE! I've been stuck 7 times with damn needles and I don't think that I can handle much more!!! I think I can give them better than I can receive them! LOL

Did you happen to get a severe headache from the Tetorifice shot?? My head is beginning to hurt worse than my arm! God we sound like such babies, but man, I wasnt prepared for it to really be this painful. Oh well, this too shall pass LOL:uhoh3:

I didn't have a headache, but I'm sure that's the norm for some people. Maybe a good nites rest will be the cure. Also, I think that it's ok to be babies now bc when we start then there won't be any time for that sissy crap!!LOL! You were so right when you said that this too shall pass. Just keep in mind that all of this will be worth it when we see RN behind our name!!
