Having had a similar situation to yours, I can tell you to do everything you can to avoid interacting with IPN. I'm not sure who your attorney is, but get a second opinion. Once you go to IPN, you will definitely be put on a 5 year contract and the expense will blow your mind. In hindsight, I wish I would have gone to the board and argued my case before being pressured into signing a contract with IPN. Once you do, there's no going back.
Thank you for your reply. It's sad that something like the IPN is in place. For what started as something with good intentions, reduced to nothing more than a way to make money. And I say this because that's all that I have read regarding the IPN. I guess it's better than just having your license suspended right off the bat.
Poppy seeds would give you a positive for opiates or codeine, not THC. I actually just had that happen recently. Didn't take a whole lot of them either. Usually the signal that pops is codeine, but it would be at a very low level if it was just poppy seeds. Also, having just codeine pop and not morphine is indicative of poppy seeds. One of the IPN evaluators actually did a study on this and published a paper.
I would love to communicate with you ... I can really explain a lot because I have dealt with the DOH and the BON and there are a lot of details regarding your situation that most people won't tell you .. . I care and want you to be given fair treatment.. do not initiate IPN ... you have options ?

I recently tested positive for a pre employment drug screening for THC. I smoked CBD before going out and running errands as it helped with my social anxiety. I was contacted by the DOH in Florida recently and I decided to look for an attorney.
One of them I spoke with suggested I go to IPN and get an evaluation done but after reading testimonies from other nurses who also tested positive for THC, it seems like all of them were hit with a 5 year contract.
I heard it can get very expensive. That IPN's main goal is to wring you for all your worth.
Does anyone have any experiences they can share including how long they were forced to be under contract as well as how much it cost?
I decided to just quit CBD in itself because it was not worth the trouble I am going through right now and I am now a month without it.
