You were not on the job when you went to the ER I don't know that I would've gone to the hospital where you work knowing that you took something like that it depends on the laws in your state in Florida we have to self report and I think that's pretty much Nationwide I don't think you did anything wrong I don't think you need to make a big deal out of it I seriously doubt that the ER doctors gonna report you to the board of nursing in your state because of confidentiality because if he did that and he's kind of crossing a line between caregiver provider where HIPAA is a thing because you didn't sign a release and you're not employed by the ER so that's my take

Sounds like Florida needs to get on board with New York I love it that employers can't test for that I think that's excellent because you know there's a fine line between maintaining patient safety but then there's also a fine line by using legislation to make money off of people that are in a basically public servants first responders NURSES THE people that are vital to the health of our population... so it is apparent that Florida's behind New York obviously you guys are way more progressive but I would love to speak with you on this because I have branched out from Nursing to now like lobby and you know talk with hospitals corporately and hopefully influence our governor here in Florida yes DeSantis not proud of that but I'm so happy to get the email about your post ?
