Test scores for Kaplan NCLEX-RN course

Nursing Students NCLEX

Out of curiosity...

Kaplan review people, how were your scores on the diagnostic, readiness, other tests that you did along the way in the program? I want to know how your scores corresponded with success on the real NCLEX test.

60 on readiness. 54 on qt7 and 58 on qt6. other than that all of it is above 60. except for qbanks :( so is it good?? i doubt that i can study more..or retain more info... :((

The aim is to have atleast a 60 on the readiness. 65 is better. When is your exam? If it's in a week, they say double up the number of practice questions. It's really difficult to score above 60 on the questionbank 'cause it's only 50 questions, but do it over and over. Try doing the questions you got wrong over.

This is so helpful...keep 'em coming!

thanks im actually going over my "incorrect" ones! im testing next week. im still goin over my content. i really dont want to postpone my test again. i hope this works. thanks for the advice!

here's a breakdown of my scores from kaplan. dont laugh they are really bad.. but i passed on my first try :)

diagnostic-- 60

QT 1-- 47

QT 2-- 52

QT 3-- 50

QT 4-- 58

QT 5-- 55

QT 6-- 60

QT 7-- 59

readiness-- 65

Qbank overall-- 57

i personally hated QT 1-3 because they were purely based on content and recall... i freaked out after i got those three scores... so i decided to study my butt off.. listened to the online content videos while taking notes (and listened to the pharm content video twice because i suck at pharm). I started taking QT 4-7 seriously (as you can probably kind of tell from the score improvements...). I would recommend that you take each test seriously (in a quiet environment and tell people not to bother you, sign off aim and other chats, and have snacks next to you, get up for restroom breaks.. dont just try to 'get it over with')... and... last but not least... ALWAYS REVIEW EACH SINGLE QUESTION! whether you got it wrong or right....

good luck everyone. you can do it :) i only used kaplan and i loved the online stuff!

@momochichi u passed with kaplan? thats a relief :)

yes yes :) and most of my classmates ONLY used kaplan and almost everyone passed on first try... so if you study really hard the hard work will pay off :) good luck!

I averaged 59 to 63 on Kaplan tests and Qbank but I passed NCLEX with 75 questions. I do think that Kaplan can really help to prepare you even if you aren't getting the magic numbers.

Hi,

I wouldn't be hung over Kaplan scores but I will suggest do much of Kaplan as you can. I graduated recently and passed on my first attempt the past week. I only did the diagnostic test which I scored 56%. I did 85% of QBANK and that ended my roll with Kaplan. I did mostly CDs and read a really good content book. I didn't stress when I took the exam but reminded myself its just another test. It all depends you know...if you are poor in content-read content. If you are not not that all rounded critical thinker read Kaplan stategies book. Best wishes!

I just passed my NCLex on the Sept 2nd in 75 questions. My QT 7 grade was 58. I did all the QBank questions and some Focused Review tests. 60 is the reccommended grade but I def think you shld have no problem if your grade is in the high 50's. Dont stress. Take your time and think your way thru each question carefully.

Hi everyone..

I am going to take my NCLEX in two weeks. I am really nervous. I am doing Kaplan and they said if you make 60% or higher on your practice test then you are good to go. however, my scores are in 50's....I dont know what to do to increase my percentage..anyone...pleaseeeeee help!!! :(
