Temple College 2015

Published

Hello, I just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for the LVN or RN programs at Temple College for 2015. We can share information, discuss any concerns, talk about the HESI exam, getting cleared through the Board of Nursing, or the just nursing program in general! Those of you that are already in the program are more than welcome to chime in.

PLEASE NOTE: I am in no way taking responsibility for any wrong information given, nor will I moderate this thread. I just want to meet new friends and support one another through the process of applying and getting our acceptance letters!

Congrats to u both!! I live in North Austin, so hopefully I will have it tomorrow!!! So austinnursstudent do you know how many points you had? Did u have the two classes and what was your score on the Hesi? I'm just so nervous! Lol

I wish you the best of luck, too! And everyone else whose mail is slower than ours! I'm hoping for y'all to get good news tomorrow or Friday!!!

Thanks, brandiew7678! Yes, I bet yours will come tomorrow! My friend, who also lives in NW Austin, didn't receive anything today either. I had the computer class but not A&P for the points. I'm taking that this Spring semester. My HESI score really helped me - 99.33. We definitely didn't get the point for living in the service area! So, I think I got 7 points - 6 for the HESI score + 1 for the computer class.

Congrats! I'm right there with you! It's still sinking I, but I can't even tell ya how happy I am! Hard work pays off! Too bad we'll be at different campuses! Good luck & I wish you the best!

JuJuHyde,

I wish we were at the same campus but we'll have to keep in touch on here instead. I'm so happy for you, too and wish you the best of luck! I'm kinda worried about the fall semester because it sounds difficult, but we'll just have to work our butts off and study hard for Pharmacology, especially!

Wow!! You really did GREAT on the Hesi! I only made a 87!! Well again CONGRATS!! To you both!!!

What do you need to score on HESI to get full points? I made a 94.76. I am thinking of taking it again for the ADN application. I need all the help I can get since I live outside the service area and my GPA is only 3.0 plus I don't have microbiology. I dread going through this wait all over again. SO HAPPY for you guys with acceptance letters! Fingers crossed I get one tomorrow.

Thanks - you did great, too! I bet you will get in!!! Do you have both points for Intro A&P and the Computer class? At the testing center, they told me they had TONS of people who didn't make an 80 and so, they couldn't get an application.

Oh really? Well no other points so I'm just really going off the Hesi! So hopefully it was enough! I will keep you posted! And thank you!

I read on either this thread or another that 95 on the HESI is the max you get credit for on the ADN point system now. I haven't taken Micro or Lifespan either so I doubt I could get in the ADN. Especially since I also live outside the service area. It doesn't hurt to apply though! Do you live in Austin?

mygr8life,

I forgot to say that you have a great HESI score & I bet you'll easily get in to the LVN program. Is Micro the only class you haven't taken for the ADN? Good luck - I'm praying we all make it into the LVN class!!!

I live just outside of Belton. Micro is the only non-nursing class I am missing. I'm in AP2 now. It is going to be a long day waiting for the mail to run at 3 pm!

Geo820, I work at Epic in Temple. Mine are also vent/trach patients.

I am so excited to almost be done! School isnt "hard" exactly, but it is very very time consuming. There is just so much thrown at you all at once, and we have lots of homework. (especially this last semester)

You can do it!! I will be cheering you and Jordan on while you wait! A few more weeks and yall should know!
