Temple College 2015

Published

Hello, I just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for the LVN or RN programs at Temple College for 2015. We can share information, discuss any concerns, talk about the HESI exam, getting cleared through the Board of Nursing, or the just nursing program in general! Those of you that are already in the program are more than welcome to chime in.

PLEASE NOTE: I am in no way taking responsibility for any wrong information given, nor will I moderate this thread. I just want to meet new friends and support one another through the process of applying and getting our acceptance letters!

Hey all!! Sorry I have been MIA. I didnt get nearly enough time "off" that I was hoping for. I worked ALMOST every day of my 6 week break. And while it was nice for my paycheck, it really wore me down!

EEE!! I know you guys are excited about getting letters soon. I actually have a "magic" number for you, as I was making casual conversation with the aide at school yesterday. He said there were *about* 175 applicants for the LVN program in Temple this year, which is significantly lower than previous years. SO YAY!!

You guys only have a week or 2 of waiting left!!! I am so excited for you all!

Geo820! Fingers crossed for you. I am currently in the bridge program, and Ill be graduating in May. I. Cant. Wait!!!! One of my amazing coworkers, Jordan, applied with me last year, and got put on the wait list, and she reapplied this year after retaking a class or 2 and making A's. She has a countdown going, I believe you guys only have about 43 days left to wait! EEE!!!

You said you work pedi home health? Thats what I do right now while I am in school!

If any of you asked me questions, I am so sorry to have not answered them timely. With work, school, and a sick 2 year old, I barely have time to think anymore. I will be better! And more supportive from today forward! Ill make a mental note to check this often.

I am not going to re answer the questions yall asked, cause other people have answered them correctly!

Anyway! Keep your head up! The wait is ALMOST OVER!!!!!!!!!!

Hello All! I am an LVN applying to the bridge program at TC this year. I got an alternate position last year, but never got a spot. :( Anyway, everything happens for a reason & I am back with vengeance this year! Glad to see that there is at least one other person applying to the bridge program. Good luck geo820, and good luck to everyone applying to the LVN and ADN program is well! The waiting game is definitely brutal!

wow where do you work, locally ? thanks for the encouragement and I would be interested to hear what a current student thinks of the bridge program...I am clinging to hope I will get in this year. How hard is it? I didn't think LPN school was that difficult, but it was very time consuming, of course, and with a family and work it's a lot! Well, hope we can chat on here, but I can barely figure out this forum thing haha. Best wishes to you!

summerblessing, thanks for the great reply, you must be so excited to almost be done. I am looking forward to being in your position this coming year, just have to get accepted. do you work locally? I do pediatric vent kiddos home care, maybe we work in the same area, which is cool. Thanks again, and maybe we can chat on here soon!

Letters were put in mail yesterday!!! Good luck guys & gals!!

Thanks for letting us know, JuJuHyde! I live in NW Austin and didn't receive anything yet! I went to the February info session today for both LVN & RN programs. Mr. Bond told us the same thing. There were definitely more people there today than at the 1st one I went to in November. I think most of these people were there for the ADN program.

My letter came! This girl got accepted to the LVN program at Temple! :D
