I noticed that there has not been a 2014 topic started yet for the Temple College nursing programs. I am getting nervous and want to know if there is anyone out there applying for the same year I am. I will be applying for the ADN and LVN program. So far I have all my pre and co-requisites completed with a 3.76 GPA. I will be taking my hesi test this October, and I also live IN-district. I am nervous and losing sleep over whether or not my scores will be good enough!
Cool I am game as well because I am off that day as well.:) Yeah girl it was a stack of letters addressed to a lot of students I would assume, then again you are right it must have been to the class that's graduating next month. That will be us next year with Jordan along beside us she will get in I have faith as well. Are you going to order your books online? Our uniforms is greenish looking with white robes I am going to order mines online I think they allow that as long as you get the exact brand that they want. If there was anything I hated in Lvn school was clinicals girl I felt like I was working for free LOL.
Hey, I applied for the ADN program and I was wondering about the "in district" points. Do you only get those if you live in Temple?? I live in Belton so does that mean I will not receive any of those points? Also how does Temple's nursing program compare with CTC nursing? I am referring mostly to the ADN program.
Thanks!
mz32, I agree!! It is working for free! Then, turn around and work after school too. Ugh. Im already ready for this year to be over!
I want to order some uniforms already! Sucks I gotta wait till orientation to know what they are wanting. When I went to the LVN program, they made us order through them.. and they were awful. The year after I graduated, they changed it, and the uniforms were way better. I believe now its Cherokee and this other brand (cant think of the name at this moment)
And yes, I will be ordering my books online. Im buying my friends books, but the issue is that she graduated 2 years ago, so some of the books may have changed. Those I will be ordering online. There is NO way Im buying from the bookstore. They are insane with prices!
@Cocoa, hope your move goes well!!!!
@Kuch3, the districting goes like this: (I copied from TC's website)
Residency status is determined at the point of application submission. If you live in Temple AND pay Temple College taxes, you are considered in-district. If you do not pay Temple College taxes you are considered out-of-district.
And, I am not sure about TC and CTC's nursing.. I graduated LVN school at TC in 2008, and I am starting the bridge program to the ADN program in June of this year. I can only go off what my coworkers have told me that went to CTC, and they seem to not have any complaints! And, I cannot tell a difference between us that went to TC and those who went to CTC. We all seem to work well together! :)
You had orientation Cocoa!!?? I have to backtack on this thread. I ordered much of the extra stuff, pen light stethoscope, umm lab coat, shoes, watch, etc. thru Allheart and ordered scrubs through Jockey since I found a neckline that hopefully wont be too much like everyones v neck. and 300 bucks for scrubs..i hope money dispenses out of the pockets for that much haha. @Kuch, I didnt apply with ADN so maybe you can call up there, but with the LVN program, I got the in-district for being in Belton, although for the school itself im out of district. Summer when is your orientation? For some reason I thought it was the same as the Taylor orientation Ok, Im going to backtrack now 3 pages lol And I hope Jordan gets a seat!! Still praying!
