I noticed that there has not been a 2014 topic started yet for the Temple College nursing programs. I am getting nervous and want to know if there is anyone out there applying for the same year I am. I will be applying for the ADN and LVN program. So far I have all my pre and co-requisites completed with a 3.76 GPA. I will be taking my hesi test this October, and I also live IN-district. I am nervous and losing sleep over whether or not my scores will be good enough!
I do! I have quite a few friends that are in the RN program now or just graduated.
According to my friend Cheryl, the lowest GPA they will accept is a 3.4. And nothing under an 80 Hesi wise. All the people I know made 92s or above. When my friend Shannon went to the info session, they pretty much said the same thing. She said that when they said "3.4 or higher," a crap ton of people got up and left the room.
Thats craziness.
I cant wait till yall find out. Come on May! May is when Jordan will get a spot, and yall will get your letters! :)
Jordan, i will be praying for you. Theres still plenty of time for things to happen. Hopefully someone less than motivated will back out. Im unsure of what kind of process or todo list yall have to do but i cant imagine bridging to be an easy transition. Someone may realize theyre too busy to handle school. Od less than willing to bend their schedule. Your foot is still in the door, be positive. And yes, congrats to Summer, you can breathe now and start a new count down to the first day of school lol
Im so confused. In my letter, it says I need to be cleared by the BON. "Since you are already a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you should have already done fingerprints for the BON. An update will be done automatically."
Ok, so....... do I have to call the BON or is the school gonna send off for my blue card? omg. lmao
Nancy said THEY send our names and addresses to BON and the BON will send you a new blue card. Remember I was telling you about this Friday because I am worried about them sending it to the wrong address since I am moving. Nancy and Mrs. Robinson said you don't have to do anything....unless for some odd reason they don't have your fingerprint s on file.
Thanks for staying positive with me ladies! I really appreciate it. I still want this more than ever so I am not giving up my hopes! ;-)

So, as Summer already knows I got an email today saying that I was chosen as an alternate. Of course I would much rather have an acceptance letter in my hand, BUT I am happy that I still have a chance. If everyone could please say a prayer for me that someone does not accept or cannot attend the program that would be much appreciated. I just have to play the waiting game again for a letter in the mail. I am trying to keep a positive attitude and stay hopeful. I just want it so bad!!
