Temple College ADN/LVN 2014

I noticed that there has not been a 2014 topic started yet for the Temple College nursing programs. I am getting nervous and want to know if there is anyone out there applying for the same year I am. I will be applying for the ADN and LVN program. So far I have all my pre and co-requisites completed with a 3.76 GPA. I will be taking my hesi test this October, and I also live IN-district. I am nervous and losing sleep over whether or not my scores will be good enough!

Awesome! I already had my physical and did the CPR class, we are moving right along :)

The fingerprinting process starts the background check, right? And the blue card goes to the school?

Correct. Youre doing fingerprints, takes 5 minutes maybe, but youre paying for the finger prints and background. The person who does them sends them off and it will go to the BON. Once you get you blue card, it looks like a post card that states your background is clear, take it to your VN office. It does not come in an envelope or anything. Once i saw that, i was like "whew im glad that didnt get lost"

You may want to call your office though. I have to turn mine in in order to get the official acceptance package. But were at different programs :(

Like with my physical, i wont get my form for my dr until i turn in my card monday, so at this point,the background is the only thing ive got completed haha. But yes, it seems to be moving along just fine for now

I had to go in because I never got my letter in the mail. The director emailed me wondering if I got my acceptance letter. I had to go to the campus to pick up the letter and they gave me everything to complete, I guess the Taylor campus does things differently.

What all did they give you to complete at Taylor? I just received the paper for my physical? And do they register us for our classes? I might have to go up there Monday or Tuesday, bc I don't want to miss a step and not be able to start in June

Ok, so do any of yall know people who did NOT get in??

A little birdie told me that this year they were MAILING acceptance letters, and emailing denials.

Gosh I hope thats the case.. Cause if they mail the letters Friday, hopefully they will also email the declines Friday too. So, if I dont get an email Friday, I'm gonna be uber excited. Well, maybe not, cause I dunno how true this is. lol

OMGGGGGGGG... the letters go out Friday! Im so excited.

Ugh! I kinda really want to believe it too. Cause they were adamant about us having TC email addresses. They even made my friend from CTC sign up for a TC email.

I dont know anyone. LOL. The only ones I know that applied got accepted ^^^^^^^^^ :) But I guess that would save on paper and really makes more sense to save the denials for a disturbing email and send letters to the acceptanced. I DO know that Temple, anyway, are doing things different this year as to cut out, Like LVN orientation wont happen because there were too many people that made it to orientation but by the time their backgrounds were completed, they were unable to attend the program period. But YAY!!! I cant wait for you to get your letterrrrrrrrrr!

And they were pushy about the emails lol. Course for me, it was after being accepted so they could send the FAST PASS or whatever that thang was called for the BG Check. lol On the applications, they needed an email I believe..I knew to make a copy of my app before turning it in haha
