I find out on Tuesday where I'm doing mine. It's 120 hours over the last 4 weeks of our semester. I'll either be in the NICU or the Cardiac ICU. Sitting on pins and needles until I find out. I REALLY want the NICU.
Specializes in med surg, tele, ortho, preop, recovery.
I did two preceptorships, one on the telemetry unit this past summer at the hospital where I'll be working after graduation, and the one I'm doing now for school, 109 hours on the oncology unit.
I start my preceptorship in the ICU next week. I think it's around 180 hours. I'm so excited, I can't wait. I hope to be offered a job on the ICU or PCU upon graduation. Our hospital has offered us ACLS training next month also.
