I've called before. Doesn't sound like something I'd like to do. Your basically reading off of a scrip and 90% of the time have to tell them to go to the hospital. You do some leasing with poison control ect.
It could be a nice, physically easy job.
Good luck.

I haven't worked at that but a co worker used to. She said what Daisy said. You read a script. 99% of the time you tell them to go to the ER.If you didn't tell them to see a doctor and something was wrong you would be toast.
Thank u for the input :)

Two friends of mine did it for a while. One friend said she developed a range of knowledge, from going through the telephone assessments. Another worked up to an educator position, and seemed to like her job, but the pay was still better in the hospital. I heard that some workers were able to work from home, after time. Hope that helps.

I know two people who worked there.
Apparently, they time all your calls and they listen in.
They also time your washroom breaks.
They both turned me off of applying there.
Keep us posted on how things work out.
That sounds terrible. Maybe that is why they are both now exclusively in the hospital.
Thanks a lot ruralgirl & ajaxgirl... Will keep u posted !
Did you have the interview?
Have you been offered the job?
