Published

Did a search, couldn't find if this was posted yet or night. Didn't look like it; I am suprised, quite shocking subject.

All it took was a few simple questions before nearly half the expecting students, none older than 16, confessed to making a pact to get pregnant and raise their babies together.

Hmmmm....this beats all I have ever heard.

well consider the source. My teen daughter also told me that "half the girls at her high school are pregnant and the other half are skanks". I asked her where she fit in---then she said well ok not exactly half!! lol.

but I do agree, what a society!!! Our local paper came out today and guess who was arrested for shoplifting...the principal!!! Gotta love public schools!!

I doubt that the parents will be the primary supporters of these teens and their children. The taxpayers will likely be forced into that role.

Ain't that the truth?

So sad.

There are many different stories on this issue... the school actually had a great pregnancy prevention program that was not allowed to give out certain types of birth control... as a matter of fact the md and NP that were managing it quit!! (I dont live too far from this town) and it was in the local news a few months ago.

Pact or no pact it is certainly a reflection of society and what is going on in teen's minds .

It is very easy to sit back and blame the parents etc... but not a good idea unless you have walked in their shoes. Many of these parents are fishermen and very hard working, albiet lower working class parents. this town is a b eautiful seaside town on the surface but one with a very poor and uneducated population; as well as the social issues that go along with it.

guess the best we can do is pray for these moms and babies:heartbeat
