TEAS Remote Proctoring

Nursing Students TEAS

I’m wondering if anyone has done their TEAS with the new remote proctoring they’re doing because of COVID-19? If you have, what was your experience?

I did mine last week and used my Mac Book Pro with no problems. Just make sure you have everything ATI requires for the use of proctorio. We did a dry-run before the test. You will need chrome. Here is a how to video if you need it. Good Luck!

Thank you! I'll check it out!

Karina,

I take the remote proctoring test this Monday. When I watch the instruction videos from ATI, it informs me that I'll have to get an assessment code from my instructor. A little confused on this one. I registered at a college here, but the school is based in Utah. Do I hit that search for the proctoring button under the test tab on the ATI site to get started on the day of the test? I've already downloaded the chrome extension. Any advice you may have is greatly appreciated.

You should receive the code you need from the school you signed up through for the TEAS. You should get that when you do your dry-run.

In my experience, an assessment code was sent days prior to the exam. You can enter it on the ATI website as soon as you receive it for access the day of your exam.

I did mine a few weeks ago. They monitor the room before you begin and are basically recording the whole thing while you take the test. I did not do so well I scored a 62%. Science seemed awfully hard for me even though I studied. I ended up getting into the nursing program though even with that low score. I did not feel comfortable scoring that low and wanted to retake the test but there’s no point now if I got in the program right? Hope this helps!

Hello! May I ask which nursing program did you get into? I took mine a few weeks ago and only scored 68% so I am feeling a little discouraged.

I live in California and I got into the program at Bakersfield College. It’s a community college. They mostly go based on GPA and other stuff like medical experience. I had straight A’s so that helped me out a lot.

Hi there! I just took the TEAS through ATI using their Proctorio (I got a 92.7!) Fortunately I'd used Proctorio before for some of my classes. It's not perfect (and I used to hate it for the invasion of privacy reason) but the fact that it facilitates the TEAS during the Pandemic makes it convenient.

Basically, after buying it, you schedule your particular date and time. CRUCIAL! YOU MUST CONVERT THE TIME THEY GIVE YOU TO YOUR TIME ZONE. I've heard of ppl missing their test time for this reason.

For the test, they give you a "Dry-Run" to help you know what to expect test day. 100% do this. Basically, have a pencil, eraser and SINGLE sheet of notebook paper. CLEAR YOUR DESK. You will have to film it and if they see something suspicious, they may cancel your test. Have your ID ready. You'll have to lift your laptop to film your test area. Make sure you get everything filmed (leave nothing to chance).

My (brief) advice: Move somewhat fast and don't spend too much time on a problem. Many people don't get to all the answers because they spent too long figuring something out. Keep an eye on your time!

Also, use the 'Flag' function to mark questions you want to come back to. At the end of Science and English, you will very likely have some time to go back and check. Math not so much and Reading comprehension I barely finished in time.

I took mine Saturday. It was on short notice, so I didn't really study. I found free practice quizzes on a couple sites to understand what level the exam would be on. It was pretty easy to set up for. I came out with an 88- not bad! Good luck to everyone! ?

Hi does anyone know if the TEAS exam is still being offered online?

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to share my experience with the TEAS using Proctoring.

I took my exam yesterday and scored a 73.3%, I studied on and off for like 3 weeks. I bought the GCC study guide and bought the practice exams from the ATI website. I got a 70.3% on the English, Math 79%, Science 81%, and English and Language 62%. English is my worst subject and that fact that you're time on the English reading is hard because it took a while for me to understand the passages so I was running out of time. Math was fairly easy, but I was also running out of time so the last 10 questions I did them really quick so I underestimated the time. Science was fairly easy, but they give you some random questions I've never even seen before, or perhaps I didn't think to brush on, for example whats the process of a bone healing and you had to choose between the processes. Scientific reasoning and Life science was okay, but my best advice don't spend so much time learning the physiology of the whole human body because thats what I did and for the most part the questions were super straight forward, as easy as what part of the male reproductive nourishes sperm? oh well prostate glad, most of the human anatomy and physiology I answered real quick because they weren't too complicated. English and language on the other hand I don't even know what happened, I did so bad, I guess I was just over it and tired bc I should've taken a break but I was given an option to, but like I said I'm not to good at it. One thing I will say the practice exams are just like the real exams, so please get them, the exam was more like Practice B.

I guess I forgot to mention how I did, practice B I scored a 70%, without really studying. Practice C I did really bad, I got a 57% after a week of studying, but it was a lot harder let me tell you.

HOPE THIS HELPS. Be aware of the timer on the exam because that *** sucks, I feel like I could have done better but oh well.

May I ask where do you find the practice quizzes and sites if you remember?
