TEAS Remote Proctoring

I’m wondering if anyone has done their TEAS with the new remote proctoring they’re doing because of COVID-19? If you have, what was your experience?

I did mine a few weeks ago. They monitor the room before you begin and are basically recording the whole thing while you take the test. I did not do so well I scored a 62%. Science seemed awfully hard for me even though I studied. I ended up getting into the nursing program though even with that low score. I did not feel comfortable scoring that low and wanted to retake the test but there’s no point now if I got in the program right? Hope this helps!

My experience was about the same as before. This time I did feel a little more relaxed (I'm guessing due to being at home in my PJs LOL). I also scored higher than my two previous attempts.

OK that doesn’t seem so bad. I‘m planning to take mine in August and I’m hoping they won’t cancel on me since the nursing application at my community college is in September.

My coworker, an MA, just did it this week! It went really well for her. She said she was very stressed because her cat kept jumping behind her head and she was afraid the proctor wad going to think it was a person’s shadow. And she was super concerned about using her scratch paper (which is allowed) because she had to look off-screen to use it! But ultimately they didn’t ding her for any of those things and she did fine.

I'm taking mine tomorrow at 9AM. I'll let you know my experience.

I took mine today and passed with a 72. I was being proctored through a program called proctorio. I didn’t see my proctor at all but they needed to see my screen. It’s different cause I’ve never done this before.

I was scheduled to do mine last Wednesday, but had trouble with my computer allowing the proctor to see my screen. I had to reschedule it and take it first thing tomorrow

Were any of you using a MacBook Air while doing the TEAS remote test? I'm wondering if the inbuilt webcam will work or will I need to buy a webcam?

I used my Surface Pro and it seemed to work fine. I was under the impression that a test run is done a day prior, however, I did it before my actual test. I too was worried about whether I could use my Surface Pro, but everything turned out fine. Good luck! ?

I did mine last week and used my Mac Book Pro with no problems. Just make sure you have everything ATI requires for the use of proctorio. We did a dry-run before the test. You will need chrome. Here is a how to video if you need it. Good Luck!
