Teacher and Student Intimate Relationship: Is it ok?

Hello, guys!

What can you say about Instructors having intimate (serious) relationships with their students?

If you are his/her Dean, would you condone or approve such? What if the feelings are realyy true and pure? They really love one another? What can you suggest or advise them?

I think he has spoken to the Dean already about us. Since we are both pretty out about it (We have lunch together at the Cafe in the school), its pretty wide known about us. I think they will try to get me in a different class. Its just POSSIBLE that I might get one of his.

I think that's very smart. If you are open and honest from the beginning, there would be less problems, I am sure!

If he is the ONLY one who teaches a particular required class have him help you look for oportunities to take it elsewhere. Possibly on line. Taking it at another school even if it means being away for a semester.

Get the dean and counselors involved in helping you find the class you need someplace else.

Certainly you can be apart one semester for the sake of both your careers.
