Hello,
I am working on submitting my application for the TCU CRNA program 2018. Anyone else applying? Seems like TCU has a pretty good program. Does anyone have any insight on how the clinical sites are assigned? Or how likely it is for the clinical sites to be changed once awarded on your acceptance letter?
Wow! I'm shocked at the No's! You guys have great stats and I'm not sure why... I got an interview, GPA 3.7, GRE 300 (YA! hated that test..), but also have 5 years ICU experience with a Biology degree and a BSN. Talking from previous students the interviews are definitely more relaxed and they want to get to know YOU as a person, one of the reasons TCU is my top choice. You are not just a piece of paper with stats on it, they want to know you as a person and what makes you succeed. :)
Does anyone need to switch interview dates? I have mine scheduled for August 22nd and desperately need to switch it.... any other date will work, but the 29th or 31st are preferred. I called to ask and was told she could not reschedule unless someone wanted to switch with me. So, who is interviewing on August 29th or 31st and wants to switch? I'll take 24th too... please PM me if interested.
For those of you who are upset about not getting an interview with good credentials, let me say this. There were probably around 200 applicants that all have the CCRN or better. You all have a 300+ GRE score. You all have a 3.0+ GPA, and so forth. So what is it that makes you stand out from others? Well it has to do with your personality. That is the reason why the interviews will not be filled with knowledge based questions. The minimum requirements have already weeded out applicants who would not do well with those questions. What will be determined is, are you the type of person that will make a good CRNA. To be honest, there is not a way to prepare for the interview per se. It will be tailored to each individual. My only advice would be, be prepared to defend any weakness in your application.
To Prove my first point:
My Stats: GRE 302, CCRN, GPA 3.0, Nursing GPA-3.2.

I have an interview for Aug. 22nd as well! I've heard the interviews at TCU are a little more laid back and "get to know you". Does anyone else know more about their interview style?
