Congrats to everyone!

I also got in, but I'm declining since I already got into TWU's fast-track BSN. I didn't want to move back to FW and it's a lot cheaper than TCU. But I am a little sad, because I went to TCU for my BA and I loved it! I'm sure you guys will love being Horned Frogs, too! I'm kind of jealous, actually :-)

Congrats!! I'll see you guys at your meeting with us "out-goers." Enjoy your freeeedooommmmm :monkeydance:

what day do classes start? i know the orientation is on may 11th but can anyone tell me when classes officially start... i must be retarded because i don't see it on the website :uhoh21: thanks!

I got accepted to the regular BSN program. Maybe I'll see you guys on campus!

CONGRATS!! See you around :)

Hi..

I am new to the Ft. Worth area and I need some help finding a place to live. Could anyone tell me if the apartments near campus are okay or should I look at places a little farther away? What is everyone else doing in terms of housing? Thanks for your help!

Me too, porkchop! I got an apartment at The Place at Westover Hills, which is about 9 minutes from campus. I haven't actually been inside but my boyfriend has, and he says they are pretty nice for the price, which is around 525 for a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom. Their website is westoverhillsapts.com. Hope this helps!

When I went to TCU a lot of people lived in these apartments off of Hulen called Reserve at Oak Hill, and there were two other nice complexes right by there, but I can't remember their names. A little further away on Bryant Irvin there are a lot of nice apartments as well. I would avoid Overton Ridge Boulevard because most of those places were sketchy even when I was there in 2003, so they have probably gone downhill even more. Some of those apartments I mentioned might be a little pricey for a one-bedroom, but if you could get a roommate, it would be very doable.

Reserve at Oak Hill and the Marquis at Stonegate are both really close. Be sure and ask about a student discount...they might knock 3-5% off. There is also Bellaire Ranch (I think it's a Marquis property too) that's more pricey and is next to the Trinity. There are brand new student apartments right across the street...my mind just went blank but you can't miss it if you're standing at the nursing building.
