I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.
Can you guys believe that Thanksgiving is just NEXT WEEK!? and then we have orientation the week after!!?? I am actually going to admit that time is going by way too fast..Have our alternates heard anything back yet???
Yes I heard last thursday the 10th that I was accepted and was number 9. I am new to this site as well.Could really use some pointers on what to do. Everyone on here seems to know what they are doing and where to go for stuff. I feel in the dark. So nervous yet so excited for this new adventure.

I'm glad u found us... Feel free to send me a message through facebook if you ever need to. Oh by the way, I will be going to the JPS tour on Friday, are you?
Does anyone have any feedback on e-textbooks vs textbooks. juggling with the idea of which to use. I love to be able to highlight and take notes in my books and not sure how easy it will be to do that on e-textbooks
I've tried ebooks before, definitely not for me. I think it is a lot more convenient and reliable to have the hard copy. I was thinking about sending an email to the different instructor to double check on the books. I have the money to order them now but I'm afraid to get a wrong one.
doodle- I can't do e-books. I have a habit or marking in my books and jotting down notes, helps.me study better. Plus is we are flipping from.page to page in class, might be difficult with e-books..I. just suggest printing out the list of things to do from the information packet and start getting.the things you need!! congrars & welcome to the group! See you at orientation!
Ajk & Manow - have you guys heard anything??
Rossy- you can see what books we need on webadvisor.now. I'm ordering all of them the week of orientation
This semester two of the books shown in webadvisor were the wrong ones. One of the for my Bcis class was 147$. That's why I'm so nervous about it I found one of our books at 1/2 price books, but it didn't have the online access code. Same edition though.

Hey Tx- No word yet here. Really hoping to hear something this week because next week probably won't hear since the holiday. If we get in I would like to make orientation with ya'll and get started on the list. Thanx for checking!

Yes have been checking things off the list. Just doesn't seem like I can get much else done before orientation. I have no idea what to get as far as supplies or anything. Uniforms too, should we buy them at orientation or is there a better deal somewhere else. then stethoscope..... i have no idea on what to get. Ugh I just hate all the unknowns!!!!

i especially like this quote..
"J Orion Liptak
Waiting two hours to get through the registration process and then not being allowed to pay is like shopping at Wal-Mart at dinner time and when you finally get to the front the cashier just punches you in the face and tips your cart over." hahaha!!
