Tarrant County Spring 2012 Applicants

Published

I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.

LOL, congratulations! :smiley_aa

an A is an A! And im sure you'll be fine!

Same here! I really hope that we all make it in!! Are you guys nervous? Your HESI is what..2-3 weeks away? I still have a month and so weeks until I take mine and i'm already nervous but VERY excited!!!:uhoh3: I just hope all of this studying pays off..I already have my application complete, its thumb-tacked to my wall staring me in the face everyday..

Geeze, if im already this tense then i can only imagine what it will be like during the three month waiting period. I feel bad for any tub of ice cream that finds its way in to my freezer during those three months...:lol2:

Should we start up with the practice questions again??? lol

Congrats on the A KC!!! Yay, that puts you in a good spot. Two weeks till the HESI. I hope all our AN people ace it and I hope we all get those acceptance letters!!

I even asked for a stethoscope for my birthday tomorrow. Hope it brings me luck.

LOL! ! good thinking! I was going to wait to see if I get accepted to ask one for Christmas lol.

but happy early birthday!!!! just picture balloons and a celebrating Smiley face, it wont let me add it from my cell phone lol

@Student - I think I may go ahead and buy one with what little is left over from my financial aid this fall, just in case I don't have enough come spring. Which one did/are you looking at??

PS Happy birthday tomorrow!! I'm sure I'll tell you again.

@txhusker - I don't worry so much about ice cream but I'm sure I'll find something. May need to preoccupy myself with something healthy though!! hahaha My husband is already going crazy with my anticipation. :-)

@ KC - The Littmann Lightweight II.

@ TX - thanks :)

KC- I think your husband and my boyfriend can definitely relate...I keep saying, "oh i hope i get in..or i take my exam in so and so weeks!, what if i dont get in, what if i dont pass.." and he's just like..:smackingf

Im still trying to identify my weak points, but signs are pointing to the vocabulary portion..I just hate it because i dont know what to expect! arrggg:banghead:

Student- :hbsmiley: :balloons::monkeydance:Happy Birthday! :bdck::smiley_aa:hbsmiley:

OMG! I was at target today and I saw the CUTEST hellokitty clip that can clip on to stethoscopes so it looks like she's hugging it! If we did a pediatrics round how cute would that be!?

Lol..totally off topic but I just thought I would share..

Did u buy it?? Oh and thanks for the birthday party in your status!! Too cute.

oh no! I stood there for a while debating if I should or not. i didnt want to jynx myself..lol! it was 3.99 so I might go back and get it if the other colors are available.

Too cute!! I drug my husband into the scrub store in Grapevine Mills a couple of weekends ago, just to browse. They had some of the cutest tops!! I already found a white one with ruffles that I will have to have. LOL There is a specific shoe I want too, but they don't have it in white so I will have to wait. I didn't realize that good nursing shoes are about $120 a pair, but considering what I used to spend on heels in my heyday I shouldn't be surprised. :-)

Has everyone scheduled their HESI yet??

I plan to get my nursing shoes from new balance, their shoes have good arch support and i have wide feet..:lol2: so i think they should fit well.. I know they have a scrubs store in hulen down the street from the mall, but i have not been there, im not sure if they are still open though.. i always joke when with my boyfriend when i look at scrubs, i always say "ah they look so comfortable, i wont have to suck in my belly when im walking around!!" haha
