Tarrant County Spring 2012 Applicants

Published

I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.

They are like wearing pajamas! I never knew there were so many options though. And at the scrub store they were cheap, like $13.95 for a pair of pants. At that rate I'd buy 3 or 4 pairs just so I didn't have to do laundry every night. LOL

These are the shoes I want, eventually. I just wish they were in white! http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/dansko-professional-leopard-print-clog/2983420?origin=category&resultback=1405

those shoes look super comfy! Sort of like those clogs minus the holes, lol.

13$ a pair is not too bad, if your lucky and not picky, sometimes walmart has their scrub bottoms for $5 a pair! even garden ridge has some really cute ones for 2 or 3 dollars, if you have the time to dig through all their stuff and find some lol.

But don't all new student have to wear white scrubs ?

We have to wear white tops, white shoes, and teal pants. The teal pants are the hardest to find; I have to wear that color pants for work already though. My favorite ones are the Cherokee Workwear drawstring flare pants... they are pretty cheap, long enough, and they seem to hold up pretty well.

I think I have a pair of those also and I really like them. We have to wear brown at my work and I have several Grey's anatomy scrubs. They were a bit expensive ($25 a piece) but I love them!! The pants are long and the waist is high. I have several scrubs that are too low cut and always have to worry about my back showing when I bend over, sit, move in general (lol). I never thought about that when I bought my first round of scrubs and wished I had taken that into consideration. Oh well, hindsight..

I got my stethoscope today and the family wanted to play with it. They ALL put I on backwards, lol.

I WEEK UNTIL TESTING STARTS!!!

Time is flying by!

I got a letter today from Weatherford College and I have been accepted into their RN program for spring. TCC is my first choice, but at least I know I will be going next semester either way. OMG!! I am so excited!

this was part of an email i received from the tr campus today, so hopefully that means there will be parking:

nursing and allied health professional program students taking classes at the new trinity river east campus (trec) should park at the trec surface lot off of belknap street using the jones street entrance. overflow for trec is the parking garage using the cherry street entrance or the surface lot under the henderson street bridge.

yay student!! congrats!! ;-)

cross- one of my aunts work at the TR campus and she said they built three new buildings for the health programs, and I have driven by them and it looks really cool and their is plenty of parking since they paved the new lots. sort of looks like a car dealership lot lol..and its designated only for the allied health students.

@student- congratulations! I don't think you should have any problem getting in to the TCC program.. I hope to be just as lucky. only a week left until your HESI!! :) I'm excited/nervous for you guys!!

I got my acceptance letter for WC today! Wow. I am so excited. Like Student said: at least I know I am in somewhere! Takes a lot of the pressure off for sure!

I took my summer classes at the TR campus and I parked in the Cherry St garage and I felt like there was tons of parking! But then again I'm sure it wasn't as hectic d/t summer students only.

Congrats to you both!!!! :yeah::nurse:

So I just finished taking my HESI practice test for the math, and I only missed one (yeah!) but I can't figure out how they got the correct answer. LOL Does anyone else have the 2nd ed Evolve Admission Assessment book? I'd like to cross-reference with someone if I could.

Thanks!!

I have a cousin and a girl from work who are both going to TREC and got to go see it. They said they were VERY impressed and that TCC spared no expense. The girl at work says the sim hospital is way better than the one they have been using at UTA.
