Tarrant County Fall 2011 Applicants

Published

Hello,

I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.

I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.

I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.

Ok this is depressing... I just called and a lady that answered said letters will be going out sometime in MAY!!! :(

You've got to be kidding me

BOO May!!

Loly- I understand the obsessing. I have been checking the scores that past applicants have posted, to see where I stack up. I'm not sure if it made me worry more or less. Because I know it all depends on who we are up agaisnt. Some people got in with gpa's and TEAs scores lower than me, and some with better did not get in (they must have been missing a class or something). I just wish there was a way to know where I stand. I can't stand the wait. i want to get in more each day, I so need a change.

I say they are lying. :)

I agree Loly....looking back at past threads, every time someone calls they say it looks like a few more weeks, and then BAM, they hit mailboxes way before that date! I'm still going with the week of April 18th. I would think that they would want to get them out as quickly as possible so they have one less thing to worry about while they are moving into the new campus!

I too think they are just making up the date about the letters going out in May. This wait really stinks, but we are getting so close. I find myself doubting my chances of getting in as the days pass. I applied without having the fine arts elective completed and think that is going to keep me from joining you guys in the fall. I have prepared myself for the worst, but hoping for the best.

You never know ohyeah!21... I'm also applying without my PE completely finished (I'm taking online finishing in may) but I have my best friend and her mom that applied this time last year both missing classes and got in. One missed PE the other had all 3 of those classes missing... Let's have faith! :)

Val17 hits it right in the nail. Based on previous threads, they have more than once given out wrong information in regards to the letters.

I like it how we are soooo positive.

I don't think that not having a class completed will keep you guys from getting in. You both have great stats.

When my husband called, they said something about not having all of the info yet on the new campus to include in the acceptance packet. Do they give you a bundle of info? I know the lady said May, but I'm going to keep hoping for earlier. This stinks!

Yeah the acceptance packet is pretty thick. It doesn't just include the letter.. But that stinks!

OhYeah- I am also starting to doubt my chances. The more I wait the harder it is to remain confident. I would just like to know if I am in or not, they should send out the letters, and when they get the details figured out about orientation they could let us know.

The wait is driving me crazy.

It sounds like we are all in the same boat!! As each

day passes, I get more scared, excited, yet less confident. It's like my mind over thinks everything and I prepare myself for the worst. I wish they did just send the letters then notify everyone with the stuff in the packet later. But, on a positive note, we are more than half way done with it!!
