Tarrant County Fall 2011 Applicants

Published

Hello,

I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.

I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.

I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.

Can you tell we don't have much of a life until those letters come?

Dreamer,

You never know, at the rate WC is working this semester, TCC might be right behind in sending out those letters.

Last application period, Nov 7th was the day, three weeks before they are actually supposed to be mailed out.

I like the way you think, Loly!

Hahaha thank you!!! I really thought I was going crazy! Much better!

I hope we get them3 weeks before.. That means only about a week left LOL hopeful thinking!

I hope you are right Loly!!

Ab51... That's how I am doing it too except not with micro.. I'll just take one of the bonus classes and maybe redo one of the non-science classes... But I'm hoping not to have to! :)

good luck max!!!

I already have the nutrition class, and I was going to take one of the other bonus courses, but the nursing department said they are only worth 1/2 a point in their system. So, I didn't know if it was worth it. I have to pay out of county tuition.

Tic, toc, tic toc, tic, toc

Why does it feel like the calendar will never change to APRIL????????????? ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

You're telling me...

Almost April!!

And yeah 1/2 a point doesnt seem worth it for the amount of money you'll be paying.. I'm in county and it still doesn't seem worth it. Let's hope we don't have to make that decision!! :)

Yes lets hope we don't have to take any summer classes! Its $219 for me to take a 3 hour course, and then add the book in and I'm at least at $300. I'd rather save my money for nursing school supplies. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Ok......A friend of mine applied this application period knowing she wouldn't get in since both her A&P's expired, but she just wanted to get all the paper work in and then re-apply in the spring. And today she received her rejection letter. So.....maybe they will come 3 weeks early..... hopefully!!!!

Oh and also..... They have changed the entrance test for next year to the HESI

OMG....that is exciting that they have started sending out the letters. Sorry for your friend. 3 weeks early sounds great! There is definitely some light at the end of the tunnel.
