I haven't found a thread for Spring 2014 TCC nursing applicants, so I thought I would start one! I still have 2 more classes to complete before I can officially apply. I have an A in A&P I, and hope to have an A in A&PII this semester. I scored 92.5 on my HESI, but I might re-take it.

Who else is applying and what does everyone else have?? :)

I take the HESI on 9/6. I'll post as soon as I take the exam. I've got a 4.0 in my Sciences.

after taking the HESI prep course I am a bit concerned about vocab and grammer. Could anyone who has taken the test advise on what to expect? As far as applying I have a 4.0 in sciences and take the HESI on 9/9

I have a 3.75 science and a 94.5 HESI. I hope it's good enough to get me in!

Tiffanies, I don't know if you have taken the test already, but I found it was very easy, as long as you studied. Really focus on the vocabulary section because that's the part that is the most difficult, if not studied. It's not general knowledge vocab. It's a lot of medical terms that you might not know. Make sure you know all your basic math, too, and you'll be fine.

I agree about the HESI. Study the book. On math make sure you understand metric converstions, ratios, and word problems. Oh and know how to convert a decimal to fraction and vice versa. Brush up on your grammar. Lie, lie, laid, their, there etc.. I'm sure you'll do just fine! .

Has anyone turned their applications yet? I have to receive my second hep b shot sept 3, then I'm heading down there! 4.0 gpa 95 HESI. Cant believe application time is here already. Finally!

Thank you! I am really worried about the test. It has been a while with the grammer and math. I have been studying vocab from the book and quizlet so hopefully thats good enough!

I haven't applied yet I am meeting with an adviser next week to ensure I have everything correct, and then I'm going to turn it in! So nervous!

Yes :) very good chance. Every semester differs slightly based on the scores of the application pool, but you have a great chance.
