I haven't found a thread for Spring 2014 TCC nursing applicants, so I thought I would start one! I still have 2 more classes to complete before I can officially apply. I have an A in A&P I, and hope to have an A in A&PII this semester. I scored 92.5 on my HESI, but I might re-take it.
Who else is applying and what does everyone else have?? :)
I can't get my 2nd Hep A until March. EEK! Should I be worried? Also, will the nursing department send the confirmation? I'm tempted to call the office tomorrow to make sure the received my acceptance letter but if they will be sending confirmation then maybe I shouldn't. I also could not edit the acceptance form electronically so I printed, hand signed and filled out and then sent it as an attachment. I'm relieved to know others did the same. I'm so proud of all of us and can't wait to get started!
I took the hybrid course my first semester and I enjoyed it! The first 3 weeks are on campus in class twice a week, then 3 weeks doing online quizzes/discussion boards/assignments, and then 3 weeks on campus, and so on....
I recommend the hybrid because it gives you more time to study for exams and practice for your skills checkoffs. Some of the skills take a lot longer to learn then others so ample practice time is needed!
nursing school is all about time management!

So our physicals need to be completed by Dec. 3rd, is that correct? Or do we need to wait until orientation so our physician can fill out the form they give us?
Yes it will explain the deadlines and checklists more after they send back our paperwork. Once you send in your acceptance letters they give more details on all that. But I would make sure to get those things done by deadline. :) Join facebook group. We are discussing on there now.
Hi, congrats to everyone who was accepted.I know this will be a off topic question, but does anyone know if there is a limit on how many times we can take the Hesi?
I believe it is once per application period and twice overall. That does not mean however, you can't take it anywhere else. El Centro College offers unlimited tries however, you may have to be a student...

Dana, thats who I spoke with not Linda. I knew there was a D in the name lol She was extremely nice when I spoke to her as well. Has anyone turned their acceptance form in yet? Received confirmation emails back yet? I know it's really early but I already sent mine in:)
