Tarrant County College Spring 2014
I took the hybrid course my first semester and I enjoyed it! The first 3 weeks are on campus in class twice a week, then 3 weeks doing online quizzes/discussion boards/assignments, and then 3 weeks on campus, and so on.... I recommend the hybrid because it gives you more time to study for exams and practice for your skills checkoffs. Some of the skills take a lot longer to learn then others so ample practice time is needed! nursing school is all about time management!

@trevisam000 Usually they will send the schedules a few days or a week before orientation. The physical form had to be completed before orientation along with any other papers

You should be able just to type in the document and then send it as an email attachment. Make sure you receive a confirmation email, which may take a few days! You don't want to forfeit your spot for an email not going through!

Tarrant County College Spring 2014
the spring 2013 class was notified November 1st of last year. The advisors told me around 400+ applied and 130 were accepted, 10 being JPS employees. Good luck everyone!

Tarrant County College fall 2013
They just need to be completed before clinical rotations start, which is usually the last week of January or 1st of February.

Alternates are notified as soon as a seat becomes available, the school called my friend the night before the 1st day of class....so their is hope! Alternates must go to orientation even if they haven't been accepted, just in case they are selected after the deadline.

Tarrant County College fall 2013
10 students in clinical, 20-30 for theory, 15-20 for skills. I dont see what age has to do with getting a great nursing education... but it is very mixed.

10 usually and in the past semesters most of the alternates have made it in! One student was called the day before class started so you have a good shot!

The website says they are equal but most of the students in my classes have been accepted with 3.75 and 4.00 with a HESI of 92 or greater. Their are exceptions of course, just try to get the best grades and scores you can. Good luck!

Tarrant County College fall 2013
Last semester they selected 10 alternates with a total of 130 students being accepted into the nursing program! Around 400 applied to the program

Based on previous semesters, grades overrule HESI scores. The 3.5s that have made it in were on the alternate list first.

I'm doing very well right now with working full time, so it is doable! The nursing program is tough and challenging, and time management is a MUST!
