Tarrant County College Spring 2014

U.S.A. Texas

I haven't found a thread for Spring 2014 TCC nursing applicants, so I thought I would start one! I still have 2 more classes to complete before I can officially apply. I have an A in A&P I, and hope to have an A in A&PII this semester. I scored 92.5 on my HESI, but I might re-take it.

Who else is applying and what does everyone else have?? :)

I'm in!!!! Congrats everyone!!

You should be able just to type in the document and then send it as an email attachment. Make sure you receive a confirmation email, which may take a few days! You don't want to forfeit your spot for an email not going through!

I just got off the phone with someone up at nursing, who was not very nice, she said all immunizations have to be done before we submit acceptance form. Can you tell me who you talked to and exactly what they said? thanks

That's for tiffanies

"Assignment to nursing course sections will be sent out after the November 15th acceptance deadline. The process for registration will also be sent to you or provided at orientation"

Does this mean that we will find out or schedules before orientation?? Does anyone know?

And I've heard that we get passed out lots of forms at orientation, including the physical form that you have to get done. But if you want your spot you do need to accept your position soon. No matter what you need unless you did get a provisional.

I spoke to Linda & she said that I would be ok since my last dose of Hep B is in Dec. She wasn't very nice about it, but said I was ok.

She just told me it wasn't ok, now im confused

@trevisam000 Usually they will send the schedules a few days or a week before orientation. The physical form had to be completed before orientation along with any other papers

Ok thanks for the clarification :) and that's exciting to know that the schedules come out soon!

On the bottom of acceptance form it tells us: 1.Please submit this form ASAP as an email attachment to [email protected]

2.Enter "Acceptance Form - LastName, FirstName" in the subject line of the email.

3.Please ensure this form is complete and that all information has been entered correctly.

Yes, I had seen this. However, it does not allow me to type/edit the document. (whether I've saved it or not). Like put the check marks for vaccinations, click on the circles ect. So, that is why I asked if we were supposed to print, fill it out, scan, then email with the above instructions. I also have a mac, not a PC, maybe that is the problem. Just want to do it the right way!

Open for suggestions!

@michelle moss I think it was Linda I spoke with but I could be mistaken. She said that all immunizations have to be completed by Orientation. She said the HEP A series is the exception and should be completed asap (preferably before February) but she did say not to worry about that in terms of acceptance.

As far as the acceptance letter I just printed filled it out scanned it and am sending it back that way. I could not fill it in with the format on my PC so that is the only way I think it can be done.

Has anyone heard from Elevatte? I hope they were accepted. Maybe I overlooked their comment.

Is everyone editing the acceptance letter in word and then saving it? And is anyone considering the hybrid? I don't think I want to do that but I wanted to see what y'all thought.
