I haven't found a thread for Spring 2014 TCC nursing applicants, so I thought I would start one! I still have 2 more classes to complete before I can officially apply. I have an A in A&P I, and hope to have an A in A&PII this semester. I scored 92.5 on my HESI, but I might re-take it.

Who else is applying and what does everyone else have?? :)

My fiance was wait-listed at UTA and didn't get in...not to crush your hopes! But there is always a chance. He re-applied the following semester and got in though!

Do y'all know how we are supposed to find out if we got in? Is it through our TCC e-mail?

They will notify you by the emails that were given on the application

How're the alternates notified? I've heard that if they call you and you don't answer they move on to the next person!! Just 1 more week!!!

I found this in the application packet on the TCC nursing page.

Application/selection information cannot be given by phone

The selection committee notifies all applicants by email to the student’s TCC email of their admission status -- accepted, alternate, or not accepted - the first part of May for the fall class and by the first part of December for the spring class. Because of federal privacy laws, acceptance information cannot be given over the phone. It is imperative that a current mailing address be included on the application form. Notify the Nursing Office immediately of any email address, address or telephone number changes.

Thanks Cody! I remember reading that, but I swore some previous students that were alternates stated they got phone calls!

I stalked the threads for spring 2012 & 2013 to see when they received their acceptance emails. For 2012 it was oct. 28th and 2013 it was Oct 21st. Please please please let this next week fly by!!!!

Has anyone called to see when they intend to notify? Or how many total applicants ended up applying? I know in previous threads people would call and they would advise when they will notify.

the spring 2013 class was notified November 1st of last year. The advisors told me around 400+ applied and 130 were accepted, 10 being JPS employees. Good luck everyone!
