Tarrant County College Spring 2014

Published

I haven't found a thread for Spring 2014 TCC nursing applicants, so I thought I would start one! I still have 2 more classes to complete before I can officially apply. I have an A in A&P I, and hope to have an A in A&PII this semester. I scored 92.5 on my HESI, but I might re-take it.

Who else is applying and what does everyone else have?? :)

i had a friend last semester got in with a 3.5 and 80 hesi! but most of his class was taken at uta

tho.. dont know if that an advantage of his

btw people is there a link for 2014 facebook?

I don't think there is a fb group created.... I've been looking... I would create it, but idk how

Yep UTA gives major points for taking prerequisites at UTA

Most groups don't start a facebook page until acceptance letters go out. I am so anxious to know. I didn't apply anywhere else so I really need to get into this program.

I didn't apply anywhere else either so this is my only shot. I'm thinking of doing the BSN bridge with Tarleton. Anyone else considering this option? And I think I read in this post somewhere.. That sometimes they offer the fast track to students that are at the top if their class. That would be really cool!!!! Does anyone know about that?

My friend that's currently in the program said its cheaper to do the BSN with A&M online... So I'm gonna look into that...

I think I will do the program at Terleton so long as schedule permits I want to do the full time option.

I have a question for anyone who has gotten all their shots? I am still missing my last HEP B shot. I was able to get my 3rd on Oct 2nd but due to Murphys Law I have had to get my wisdom teeth pulled, taking care of my son who was just diagnosed with Asthma, and my husband had to leave for work for 3 weeks. So its been a bit rough. Can I take it anytime after the 2nd or is it pretty strict? I am hoping to get in there this week and get it. A little concerned about it.

I don't think it matters about the 3rd shot, but I did a titer for my Hep B, so don't hold me to that! Yes, that's def a lot going on all at once, I'm sorry :( I have asthma and it sucks! Only thing I'm missing is my last Hep A..

@elavette04 I have to get my last HEP A as well but cannot get it until Feburary. I am eligible to get the HEP B final shot its just been one thing after another keeping me from my doctors office. I am going to try and go this week.

I will definitely be doing a bridge program immediately following my ADN... most likely through tarleton at tcc, either that or with UTA

PLEASE let us hear back by the 1st!!!! Counting down the days :)

Random/weird question: I've never had a flu shot before, but once accepted I'll have to get one and I'm terrified.... Does everybody really get sick after the flu shot?

@elavette04 I have had one twice now and never have been sick. You may feel a little crummy afterwards but you shouldn't get sick.

I got my final Hep B shot! Now just have to wait to hear about acceptance NEXT FRIDAY! hopefully!
