Tarrant County College Spring 2014

I haven't found a thread for Spring 2014 TCC nursing applicants, so I thought I would start one! I still have 2 more classes to complete before I can officially apply. I have an A in A&P I, and hope to have an A in A&PII this semester. I scored 92.5 on my HESI, but I might re-take it.

Who else is applying and what does everyone else have?? :)

Hey AFisher! Glad I wasn't the only one that caught that! Lol... But I wonder if certain sections of the HESI weigh more than others? Like if someone has the exact same GPA and scores as I do... What's the "tie breaker"?

I noticed that too! What are your individuals? I got a 98 reading, 94 grammar, 92 math, and 86 vocab.

Did you notice they put down your highest level math grade? I took 0350 and got a B (an 89.26)....I wonder how much that matters if I have a 4.0 and my hesi scores were pretty good. I wish that if you don't get accepted they tell you why so you know what to fix.

@Ellavette04 maybe they look at the over all GPA for the tie breaker.

94 grammar, 94 math, 92 reading, 80 vocab.., no she didn't write down my math grade she just marked off that I've taken it... I've taken college level algebra... I thought you were supposed to have it...

They told me we would not find out until the first week of December :(

@Ellavette04 No you have to take it for the bachelors bridge program I believe or maybe that's statistics. You have to be able to enroll for college math I believe for the associates program but I'm sure that will help you. @tiffanies the reciept that they gave us when we turned in our applications says by November 15th which means it could possibly be earlier :)

It seems from previous threads the alternates made 3.5 and 90 hesi

From what I've read all the alternates got in plus there will people who get in but decline acceptance because they are going somewhere else.

So keep hope alive and think positive. Remember all the hard work that you have done. It will all be worth it

@lalaworkman, reciept? I did not get a reciept. I turned my application in last Friday and they just had me sign my cover form and made sure I had everything and said we should know something by at least the first week of December.

@Tiffanies yes, they gave me a receipt also... It just confirms that you submitted an application and in the comments section they wrote that I need my 2nd hep A shot... And the lady I gave my application to signed it... The receipt says we will know by November 15...
