Okay, I cannot take it anymore. I am so ready to get into school but it seems so far away. Anybody else out there planning to apply for fall 2017? Anybody else feeling like time is dragging? What prerequisites do yall have done and what do you have left? I am currently in micro which is all I need to apply.
Thats cool that you and your husband are able to do what you wanted to do. A school nurse job seems like it would be great for you since you have kids. I cannot really say what I will be just yet. I feel like I will know when I experience clinicals? We will see. I would also like to get a masters one day. I am the first generation in the family that would graduate from college if all goes in my favor. I am excited for change.
Hey guys! I turned in my application like 3 days ago and i can't wait until April lol. I'm 24 and I have no idea what area I want to specialize in! I'm thinking about being a surgical nurse but who knows what'll happen in nursing school
Right? I was so calm after turning it in and then a few days passed. Now I'm just staring at calendars hoping that we jumped a few days ahead. Haha!
Hey guys. Im 30 and been married for 12 years with a 11 yr old son. I decided to go back to school about a year and a half ago. Im currently taking my last class, life span, at nw. I take my hesi next Wednesday and have all but hep b immunizations up to date. I've started my first dose of hep b and go back for the second shot in March.
It looks like they are going to take 180 students again for the fall semester. Which will give us all a better chance of getting in. We will see.
yay!! Lol how do you know this?? I wonder if there's going to be a lot of applicants! This thread doesn't have that many people as the other threads or maybe because it's still too soon to know lol
They changed the numbers of accepted on the information session PowerPoint and the FAQ questions. This is a recent change that I haven't seen before and I check pretty often because I'm paranoid lol. I was surprised that there isn't more people on this thread as well.yay!! Lol how do you know this?? I wonder if there's going to be a lot of applicants! Hi everyone! I'm Jerrica, I'm about to be 27 and have been a stay at home for the past ten years. I have 2 Bs and 1 A. And a 92 Hesi score. I haven't yet turned in my application but plan on doing so next week. I am hopeful that I will get in but no how competitive it is. I am praying my grades are enough because I know they could be better. I have been checking on occasion this thread but have never commented.
Where exactly is the nursing advising office on campus? I have only been there the once for the Hesi.
Hi Jerrica! Are you wanting to turn in your application or do you have an appointment with an advisor? If you are wanting to turn in your application that is on the Trinity river east campus TRHN 3211. If you have an appointment with the advisor (Cal) then its on the main trinity river campus in TREF 6404.Hi everyone! I will be 34 in April. I've been a stay at home mom for almost seven years, and my husband and I own 3 businesses. Entrepreneurship was always his dream, mine was to be a mom. Now that my two littles are in school, it is back to dream #2, nursing.
What is your ideal nursing position? At this point in my life I would love a school nurse job. My babies are still young and you cannot beat the schedule.
But, long term I really want to get my NP and focus on geriatrics.
