Okay, I cannot take it anymore. I am so ready to get into school but it seems so far away. Anybody else out there planning to apply for fall 2017? Anybody else feeling like time is dragging? What prerequisites do yall have done and what do you have left? I am currently in micro which is all I need to apply.
Hi everyone! I'm Rachel. I'm 29, and I've been a PCT for about a year and a half. I was a stay at home mom for a while before this, and before that I worked in HR. I just turned in my application a couple of weeks ago! Hopefully I get in!
Hi Rachel! What do your GPA and hesi grades look like? I'm sure your PCT experience will help you with school. Good luck to you!
Hey guys I just took my hesi and didn't do as well as I wanted. I made an overall grade of 80.5% with a math score of 72%. I read that we need a minimum of 75% each section so I'm pretty bummed out. I took too long on the math section and started rushing on the rest of the test. I'm looking for another location to retake my test again.

Oh no I am sorry. Hopefully there is somewhere else that you can retake it soon. Did you see the calculator button on the screen? I didn't know there was one until I was close to half way through. What are you using to study? Try not to get too upset with yourself. Brush yourself off and try again.
I did use the calculator but I tend to get testing anxiety. I know how to do the problems but start getting anxious and forget. I bought the recommended hesi study book. I can speed through the math at home but once i know im being timed i freak out. I requested for a distant testing but the email said I will be contacted in 1-3 days for instructions.
Thanks I'll take a look at those. I looked at El centro and it looks like they have test dates available but they also take anatomy and physiology. Does anyone know if I can choose not to take that section or do I have to take it too?
I am not sure but TCC shouldn't count those anyway. You should ask an advisor.
Hi,
I had read on the HESI page on the TCC website that you can only take the test once every 60 days. I thought it meant anywhere. My husband also had this problem and made a 72 on grammar. He was super bummed because we thought he couldn't retest. Is this what you have found out as well? Don't be discouraged and keep on trying though. I'm not sure if that was your first time taking it but I took it in August then in February and improved by 8 points. It's easier the second time around. Good luck!
