Okay, I cannot take it anymore. I am so ready to get into school but it seems so far away. Anybody else out there planning to apply for fall 2017? Anybody else feeling like time is dragging? What prerequisites do yall have done and what do you have left? I am currently in micro which is all I need to apply.
Hello there 2017 applicants..
Let me introduce myself. My name is Meagan Sensing. I am a Spring 2017 first semester also called foundations, TCC Nursing Student. I am also a current OR scrub tech CST first assist and have done this for about 9 years. I put together the thread for our 2017 Spring application period as well as I run our FB page. Lets start with basics im sure you have lots of questions over. First, you have to have your immunizations complete prior to your application, expect for the Heps. Now, the catch is to that you have to have those started already if you havent received them yet because it takes 6 months for proper administration and you have to be cleared before clinical begins. If that makes sense. It should be listed in your application packet. That is a huge deal. If you havent started things with immunizations, start it. Titers are what i did. I had titers ran on everything. The only thing you cannot do a titer on is your TB/Flu. If you had TB done already awhile ago, but it would still be good when you get accepted, plan to get TB done again they only allow it to date back so far. I had to do mine again even though It was just done 5 months prior.
Your scores...this is a swinging versatile thing. The school got a grant this past year and had to up its allowed admittance into the program. So, now about 200 were allowed into my class. Some are struggling very badly due to that. However dont let that discourage you. You all are aware of what you are applying to. This is a very rigorous program, very time consuming, and there is lots of work and studying to do on your own as well as in classroom. It will be up to you on your success level.
My scores for application were GPA 3.6 and HESI of 90 with critical thinking of 950. I know others that were the same. Others that had Two Bs and and A and 90 HESI, Others that had lower HESI and 4.0 GPA. There are many dynamics they look at. However, this is my advice to you, if you have taken the HESI once, I highly highly recommend taking it again before you apply. Choose your best score and submit it. It does no harm to you to to try your best and submit what you never know could be higher than first time. That one thing could or could not be your acceptance.
All the things you all will go through we have been through. It is very trying. Very confusing. And truly very unorganized. Dont get discouraged. Us upperclassman are here to help you and will do our best to guide. Please let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

The Fall 2017 application has been posted! Question for you guys: on page 3 of the application, it says for office use only, do you think that means just fill out your name and student ID # or fill it all out, just the top part is office use only?
This part is for when they receive your application. They will verify everything your turn in. You can leave it blank or fill in name and ID. Also, ensure you have a passport photo with your app. Write name and ID on back.
Hi Meagansensing. Thank you for your explanation. Transcript audit, is that the same as transcript evaluation? If so, I just requested for mine to be done last week. If it hasn't been evaluated before then, can you include your actual transcript when turning in your packet? Also for the immunization requesting for a medical care provider signature, do they also need a letter from the medical provider accompanied with that for verification? Lastly, I have a 4.0 GPA and 82 in Hesi, where there people with this stat that got accepted during your term? Please let me know. Thank you!

I took it as that whole page. I do have an advising appointment on the 8th and I am going to get them to go through the application with me to make sure everything is right. I will ask when I am there.
