Tarrant County College Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Okay, I cannot take it anymore. I am so ready to get into school but it seems so far away. Anybody else out there planning to apply for fall 2017? Anybody else feeling like time is dragging? What prerequisites do yall have done and what do you have left? I am currently in micro which is all I need to apply. :arghh:

What is everybody taking for the spring semester? I am taking general Chemistry since I could not find an chemistry for allied health that would work with my schedule. I am taking this for the RN to BSN bridge program after I am finished with the ADN program.

I'm taking Statistics and Developmental Psych, both online, and a weight training class on campus to try to stay in shape.

How are you at math? I am okay at it but statistics gave me headaches. So many steps to remember and the problems take FOREVER to solve. You will be glad when that class is over. Good luck! I didn't know that they had a weight training class. Currently I am trying to lose some weight. Luckily, there is a gym opening up right down the street from where I live.

Who knows the vacination requirements? And when is the application deadline for Fall 2017?

You need to have either the vaccination proof or a positive titer for hep A, hep B, varcella, and MMR. You also need a current TDAP. After you are accepted they will also ask for the annual flu shot. I believe that is all but I will double check. So far the website says March 31st is the application deadline.

HEPATITIS A & B Series

MMR (Measles, Mumps,

Rubella)

Varicella

TB Skin Test

If under 22, please submit

I am ok at math. I'm hoping since I wont have a ton to do, I can devote enough time to learning it without having to go for tutoring. We will see. :)

I really like the weight training class. The MWF schedule hods me accountable, and since it is only a 1 credit hour class, it is only $59 for the semester (cheaper than a gym) and you can get as much help from your instructor as you need. Win/Win

@Lbrock thank you! So I got my titers in 2015 since I couldn't find some of vaccine proof, do I need to get another titer this year? I really don't know how that works.

I am not sure about that either. I had mine done last year. I am going to email them to make sure that that will be okay. Hopefully it will because I hate giving blood.

Emailed the advisor email a week ago. They must be busy with the new semester students. Maybe its better to just go up there with questions?

Gave up on waiting for a response I have an adviser meeting Feb 8th. That will give me enough time to go over the application hopefully so I can just turn it in when I am there. :sarcastic:
