Tarrant County College Fall 2014 Nursing Program

Published

This topic was created for those who will be applying to Tarrant County College's Fall 2014 Nursing Program. The dialog is open for those who have never applied and those who have applied multiple times. Let's discuss our frustrations, stats, best practices for study and the HESI, where you are at achieving your goal, and if you plan to apply anywhere else.

I have applied and was turned down 3.50 Science, 90 HESI, 970 Critical thinking (for another nursing program). I was knocked down, but I refuse to stay there.

Let's talk!

She did say that a lot of other people confused if titers were due at time of application or just before entering the program like hep a and b.

I am currently in the program now and I would say making sure you have all yours shots prior to acceptance is in the long run the best thing for you. It get's really hectic once you get accepted with orientation and all the reading you are required to do BEFORE the first day of class along with gatering supplies. The last thing you want to do is lose your spot because you got so overwhelmed and forgot to get one of them done.

I remember the wait and anticipation of acceptance letters going out so I know you all are nervous! Good luck to all of you and if you have any questions I would be happy to help or just maybe reduce stress or anxieties of starting! ;)

What were your test and gpa scores if u don't mind me asking!

I applied with a 4.0 and 90 HESI. Most of our class did have 4.0 or at the lowest 3.75 but it is dependent on everyone elses scores compared to yours.

Yes it is thank u

Hey so anyone know around when we are suppose to be getting acceptance and rejection emails? edit: and alternate letters

The application said we would know by May 15.

Preciosa4073 Question for you, how did you hear your application was incomplete? I turned my app in, and didn't receive any confirmation or anything. She said I wouldn't hear again until May. Just getting nervous/excited.

Hi everyone, I applied for Fall 2014 as well. I have a 3.75 gpa and 91 hesi.

When I turned mine in she went through it to make sure I had everything. I think when @Preciosa4073, turned in their packet, the counselor lady went through it as well, and that's how they noticed it was incomplete. @LarryinDFW, they didn't go over yours when you turned it in? I remember I had to sign the bottom of the application.

She looked it over when I went to turn it in...

I believe that is why they ask to bring in person I'm sure you are fine!
