:uhoh3: I'm taking my NCLEX-PN Monday and I am scared to death. I'm absolutely terrified of failing. Normally, I don't get test anxiety-but I've had it ever since I made my appt last week. I realize that these feelings are quite typical, as I have read many of the posts of members anticipating the test and I have read countless posts from members who were at their wits end awaiting results. Hope I do well! Wish me luck.......:uhoh21:

best of luck to you, blyn!

you're going to ace it! :balloons:

I wish you luck. I know exactly how you feel. I get very anxious when I have a big exam. I will be starting the LPN program in August and will be graduating July of next year. I'm really nervous and I hope I do good. Let us know how it went. Best of luck. Get enough rest.

blyn: you will do gr8!! you've come this far and will ace it! i'm pulling 4 u!!:yelclap:

all the best to you

you've worked hard to get to this point, so you'll do just fine

You'll do great!

Don't try to "cram" the night before; go for a walk, enjoy a movie, just do something fun and relaxing. Get plenty of sleep. Eat a good breakfast.

Breathe.

Good luck! :balloons:

Excellent advice. I always got a good night's sleep the night before an exam. Several classmates would ask me what I did to get such good scores and I always told them I firmly believed (and still do) that a good night's sleep was more helpful than pulling an all-nighter to cram for an exam. Of course I studied the evening before an exam. I just made sure I went to bed at a reasonable hour.

Good luck with your NCLEX.

Not to sound harsh here, but if you don't know it by then, you're certainly not going to learn it the night before, especially for an exam such as NCLEX. Cramming is a waste of time, and only serves to increase anxiety, IMO.

That's what I thought too but some of my classmates seemed to think staying up and studying until the wee hours of the morning was "the" way to prepare for an exam.

However I do admit to some last minute cramming for the NCLEX. My husband drove me to the exam so I took a drug book with me for a little "light reading" for the five minute ride to the exam site. One of my questions on the exam was about what to do in the event of an overdose of magnesium sulfate. I just happened to read about mag sulfate in the car that morning. :p

GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK!!!

Like others before me have said if you know it then you know it. You wont get all those years of education squeezed into one night so dont try! I feel that if you made it this far then how is the NCLEX going to stop you? You can stop you however, if you dont calm down. I know its easier said than done but the best thing you can do for yourself is relax... how can you think any other way?

GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

Focus on calm things right now. When you're taking the test, take long, slow breaths now and then. You've got a lot of knowledge in your head. You can do it!!! We're pulling for you!!!

ADVICE, DON'T DRIVE YOURSELF IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO.. I HAD TO TRAVEL ALMOST 3 HRS. TO TAKE THE EXAM.. MY BOYFRIEND DROVE AND WE TALKED ABOUT EVERYTHING BUT NURSING !!! EAT A GOOD MEAL AND DON'T WHAT IF, WHEN ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A POOR TEST TAKER AND HAD TO LEARN TO GO WITH MY FIRST CHOICE.. I TOOK THE TEST IN 40 MINUTES, 86 QUESTIONS.. AND PASSED.. SO, YOU CAN DO IT !! IF YOU PASSED THE PN COURSE YOU CAN PASS THIS... SO, GO AND GET THE " L" TO ADD TO YOUR " PN" !!!
