Taking Nclex the day after Halloween!!

Published

Oh my, I did not realize when I booked the exam for this coming Tuesday, that it is Halloween on Monday! That freaks me out now!

I have to fly to another island on Monday and sleep over for the night, because the only time that they offer the exam is at 8 am, every Tuesday and I am SO not a morning person. :uhoh3:

I hope I will be able to sleep in a strange bed on Halloween night and be ready for this grueling ordeal the next morning...

Anyway, I am also freaking out, because I don't think I know enough, but I can't postpone the exam, because the plane tickets and the hotel ticket has been bought already!

The funny thing is that I never thought that I would write on here before the exam, but I have to, because you all understand what it is like to freak out like this!!

:eek::eek::eek:

My husband doesn't, even though he is very supportive.

Oh well, just wanted to share that!

And I will appreciate any prayers that I can get, thanks!

All of the best to you! I hope from the depths of my heart that we will both pass! I am so sick of looking at the mess of books and papers in front of my bed! It would be awesome if I could return home on Tuesday, do the PVT trick, find out that I passed and to be able to get rid of all the junk by my bed!

I am really panicking now, I just read on a thread here that you should not cram questions the week before the exam and that is exactly what I'm doing! I have so much work to still go through, my stomach is in a knot. :crying2:

Oh well, let me get back to the books...

I am taking mine on Tuesday also in PA. I have been studying so hard for the last 3 wks, I cannot imagine, either, what it will feel like to have it behind me! I was valedictorian of my class, but have been petrified about this test. Did ATI all through school, used Saunders (4th edition c the disk), did the NCSBN 3 wk course, read Kaplan's strategy book, & bought Exam Cram (3rd edition c the disk also). Praying it has been enough:) Good luck, I hope you have a wonderful outcome on Tuesday!

@jmb1973 - Oh, all of the best for you! I hope you pass, did you try the PVT?

Good Luck trachkids .... We almost have the same materials used .... :)

@trachkids. It sounds like you've been good with studying, all of the best to you for Tuesday! Come back and tell me how it was! I also did the NCSBN course, read the Kaplan strategy book and the Kaplan content book (someone gave it to me ) read a bit in Saunders and did some online questions. Oh and the LaCharity book on Prioritization and delegation, still busy with this one in fact, running out of time....

Still don't feel ready and I have qualified many years ago and worked in two different countries as a nurse, so no content fresh in my brain from nursing school. Now I have to take the Nclex to work in the States. I am so over the studying...

Again, all of the best to you!
