Click on this link. It has tons of info that will really help you. The Student Forum at this site would also be beneficial to you. That can be found in the second link I posted. Word of advice...make sure your school will accept online science courses with labs. Mine schools do but mine didn't so be sure to put a call in and get WRITTEN approval if you haven't already. I would have done them online if I could have. Those that I know that have really liked it and were successful. Good luck. :)

Thanks all. Thanks Batman that string was awesome.
The labs, like someone said are ordered (everything comes in a huge box) and honestly, they are way more time consuming than actually sitting in a lab. Last night it took me 5 hours to get through two micro labs - the gram positive/negative stains as well as making my own wet mounts. Holy Moly. I had to drop micro last year when I adopted my son, and I remember sitting through 2.5 hour labs thinking that it was the worst. Doing it at home is way more time consuming and there is nobody there to tell you if you are looking at the specimen correctly... so that is the downside. It has definitely challenged me so far...
I think that most of the online classes don't really indicate "Online" - so I just keep that quiet. I already got the course(s) itself approved.
Thanks,
Cheryl
I just completed chem online and it really sucked. didn't pass cause i couldn't take the final before it was due. that is the 2nd time i took it. don't know if i will try a third
How does the final work? Do you just do it online, doesn't this mean it could be open book? Or, do you have to go have it proctored? Very curious about this. Thanks!!
Hi, All,
I am taking online chem through EduKan (State of Kansas consortium of community colleges.) Our labs are virtual -- done via computer program on CD -- and in the kitchen with common household products. If you're interested in sharing email addresses for studying, answering problems, etc., PM me. (I bet our units are set up about the same.) I found the first unit very difficult because of the math. I'm hoping things will be easier after we get into bona fide chemistry stuff. We'll see.

Anyone else here taking Microbiology or Chemistry online? I'm taking BOTH at ccconline this semester. Looking for a studying buddy or at least someone to gripe to...
Thanks
Cheryl
