Hello and good luck on your exam. I took it in April and passed. I spent a lot of money on study material. I used the CCM made easy with workbook and I also used the CCM exam secrets. To be honest neither are necessary but of the two I would buy the CCM made easy and do the workbook twice. Then invest your money in practice tests. The test isn't easy but it is straight forward. It didn't seem tricky to me.
In addition with the CCM made easy, there is a FB page that posts questions daily to help you. Also the CCMC website is a wealth of information. It really does spell out what is on the test.
I hope this helps.

I took the CCM exam after studying several texts and taking a review course. I believe the review course was through CCMC. I never regretted spending that money-the review course was essential preparation for me.

I sat for my exam in April and passed. I used the CCM Certification Made Easy book. I thought it was very helpful. I read the book cover to cover. The biggest help for me was memorizing the vocabulary. I felt the nursing questions were easy, but I was not as familiar with the insurance policy information or cost-benefit analysis type stuff, so I felt the book was very useful. Good luck on your exam!

Hi! I am taking the CCM Exam this August as well! I am still doing my research about what materials to buy because I don't want to overspend. I bought the CCM Exam Secrets on Amazon to start. I searched Facebook for the question a day page for the CCM exam but just found Mometrix CCM Test Prep - quite helpful- has links for free practice tests and a couple of YouTube videos from the same company.
I am hoping more people will post on your thread to help us prepare for the CCM Exam since the other threads date back to 2012.
I will update you with the materials I have decided on using and hopefully you do as well.
Good luck!

I'm also taking the CCM exam in August. Right now I'm reading Case Management: A Practical Guide to Success in Managed Care. I also have a couple of practice question books. I have several other books that were given to me or I acquired along the way. Good luck to everyone.

I am also taking it in August as a means to relate better to the CCM's I supervise. Let's hope I don't make a fool of myself!

What day and time did you find best to take this exam? Thanks!
I took mine at 0900 on 8/12/16. I just wanted to get it over and done with so I wouldn't over think the exam.
Thank you for your reply. That's what i'm thinking. The testing site is 45 minutes from me and on weekdays driving into Savannah traffic is crazy because of construction. I'm thinking Saturday morning will be best so I can hopefully avoid traffic and my husband doesn't need to take time off from work. What books did you use to study (and find helpful) and how long did you study for? I read that you're notified immediately if you passed or failed, but then I see people say they won't know for 4 weeks or so after the exam.
GrnMtn21: I only bought a practice exam off amazon and if I got it wrong I looked up the rational as to why it was incorrect. I can't say I studied very much due to my hectic work schedule. This August exam you will not get results right away. It is a new benchmark exam which means you will need to wait up to 60 days for results. Hope this helps. :)
