Residency classes start on March 2nd for me too! They called me yesterday to set up going into HR next week on Wednesday for badges/etc , and apparently a bunch of NEO in between! I’m excited and getting nervous at the same time time lol

Okay yay I thought mine was just delayed because I’m in the process of endorsing my license from Florida ! It should come in another week so until then I can’t do any of the badge stuff yet. But I’m feeling exactly the same because I don’t think they hired a lot of new grads in the NICU for our floor so I’m nervous since it’s a lot to learn! They told me I could hit the ground running With going to deliveries since I already have NRP but honestly that scares the heck out of me !

@lsaxena

Are you foreign graduate nurse? I was thinking of endorsing my NC license to WA, but I'm a foreign graduate nurse. I was wondering if that will affect the time range?

Hi @exol112,

i m not foreign graduate nurse. I did my nursing school in Vegas, Nevada. I don’t know in your case how much time it will take to endorse your license but u always can call BON, WA and ask!

A little late to the game 😅....but I will be in the March 23rd Cohort at First Hill's ED. Anyone else in that cohort? Look forward to meeting fellow Swedish new grads (in alllll the departments) ! Also, I am new in Seattle/ WA and would love to hear any advice you all may have on getting to know Seattle and meeting people in general. 😀

Will be in Cardiac Tele at Cherry Hill! I am also new to Seattle moving from the San Francisco Bay Area. Definitely in the same boat as you looking for ways to meet new people and get myself out there 😕

Hey @Panda123!

Great to hear of another fellow Northern CA new grad! Have you already moved up here? I just moved up to Seattle last week - so if you need any help/ information I am more than willing to assist as much a possible (still being a newbie myself ; ). ). I would love to connect, not sure if AllNurses had a personal message feature, but my email is m.annekelley@gmail.com. : )

I have accepted a job in Tacoma, WA and I am moving up from the San Diego area. I didn't get the job at Swedish, but was wondering if you guys have roommates how did you find them?

Thanks!

I am moving up early March to retrieve the stuff from the movers and complete my health screening(: Probably explore Seattle and get to know the area in the meantime. Would be cool if there was an event where March New Grads could meet up/hang out LOL
