I just moved here from Florida And applied as well. I just got an email last night for an interview for Peds

Thank you Nurselex27 for replying. Congratulations for receiving interview call and wishing you good luck for the interview. I would be glad to connect with you if you are interested. I am new to Seattle area and do not know any person from nursing fraternity here! I am located Eastside of Seattle, sammamish and applied to first hill and Issaquah campuses.

That’s totally okay! I actually live in spanaway area so it’ll be a big commute for me. My First choice is Tacoma general since it’s closer. I just received a email for an interview so there’s literally still time bc my interview isn’t until Jan 24

NIce to hear from you Nurselex27. Good luck for Tacoma General. I havnt heard yet from them for in person interview even though I applied in Nov 19. Quite slow process.

I’m told it depends on the department. I recommend calling and asking the department for the managers email. I did and sent an email and got a interview the week after. My interview for Swedish isn’t until the end of the month

Thank you Nurselex27! That is a good suggestion. By the way, Where you called? I tried calling the HR whom I sent a follow up email back in December midweek but it directly goes on voicemail even though I tried couple of times.

i called the operator and asked for the specific department , then asked for the manager or mangers email. HR only deals with recruitment. Did you get an email from TG saying your resume was forwarded to manager? Swedish didn’t say anything at all until I got an email for the interview but with multicare I got notification that it was forwarded

No I did Not get the email about resume forwarded to manager. I asked the timeline of where I am after 2 weeks of submitting online video interview. Then Talent group person replied that they are still in process of finalizing the interview schedule and I will hear from them in 2-4 weeks of time frame. It was in First week of December. Then I sent a email follow up last Week but didn’t hear anything so tried calling the number mentioned in that email thread but it went directly to voicemail. I m quite nervous now. But thank you I ll try calling directly to department tomorrow and will see what happen.
Have u started working anywhere meanwhile or waiting for residency?

Swedish I didn’t hear from after a video interview , it was only Tacoma general that sent the email. I applied for a medication tech position at a assisted living community but I’m waiting to find out if I need a certification first. It’s really tough trying to get a position out here being from out of state so I totally understand. When I interviewed for Tacoma general , they had atleast 12 other interviews going on too..

Tacoma general notified me today that I did not get the position ?

Keep sailing Nurselex27, We got this. I understand it is hard but keep trying. Yesterday night I was searching and found Valley Medical Center in renton also have residency positions on their website. I applied yesterday night. if you haven't applied yet, you can apply there. I don't know if I am late in race there at Valley but I applied to Evergreen Health and Swedish only for residencies in Nov/Dec. Evergreen I received rejection in Dec 2nd week and they said they hired more experience person which was completely unexpected for me. I also wasn't expecting it to this long for Swedish. I started applying to other vacancies to the area. Keep fighting!
