Swedish Medical Center Residency 2015

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi...Has anyone seen a posting about Swedish's Residency program for the July/August 2015 cohorts? I would think that they would be posted around now, but I haven't seen any.

Thanks!

Traffic across lake washington from Redmond/Bellevue can be terrible.. And those areas are usually just as expensive if not more. Unless you plan on taking a bus, which may be difficult if you're working nights, I'd recommend staying on this side of the water! North Seattle is usually better price wise.

Is the traffic bad when you take the toll road? The hard think is to find a place the city with parking for 2 cars that'd onset gouge you. I was also thinking of Lynwood or West Seattle, just have to look at a ton of places

Omgd I am currently dealing with apartment hunting as well. Congrats on everyone that made it!!

Congratulations!! Is it just general surgical tele? Sounds exciting :-) When did you interview/accept your offer? It's already been almost a week since I had my panel so maybe that's a bad sign :-/

Yes, general surgical telemetry. My skype interviews were Sept 2nd and 4th. If you haven't heard back I would reach out to HR and see what the status is. As I said, I imagine different managers do it differently so you never know.

Hi all, is anyone still playing the waiting game? My panel interview was on 29th and I havent heard back. I am losing hope on this. ;( do they give you rejection email or call? I called the HR person who helped scheduling the panel but she said she doesnt know. My status is still pending interview. Please, let me know anything!

So I ended up getting hired at Seattle Children's instead :-D Anyone know of good areas to live or anyone looking for roommates??

That's awesome Toldoll, congratulations!

Thank you!! I'm so excited. Any good ideas about where I could live/commute easily if I'll be using public transportation? I was thinking places like Fremont, U.District, etc.

Fremont/Ballard are cool areas to live, but not the easiest for getting to children's. Sandpoint goes to lake city (which has some sketchy areas, but is improving). Udistrict, Ravenna, Northgate are all easy commutes to children's. I would try to stay down near sandpoint if possible or between there and Northgate. The hill down from 45th to sandpoint and montlake blvd get backed up pretty bad depending on the time of day.

Thanks for the tips! Hopefully I find a roommate/apt/house soon because I'm running out of time!

Hello! I'm interested in applying to this program as well. I'm finding the process a bit daunting. Would anyone be willing to connect with me and answer a few questions?

Thank you and best of luck to all applicants and those beginning their career!

I can help. There are a few threads that are more recent like this one.

I'll be entering the February cohort. I don't think I can do private messaging with my current post count, so feel free to email me at [email protected].

I am interviewing for the postpartum floor tomorrow! The nerves are really starting to kick in! Do you have any tips you could offer me and/or would you like to share any of your experience with the residency on the post partum floor? I'm so excited :)
