Suzanne's 6-week Program With Saunders's Cd

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello, Everybody And Suzanne....

This Week I Will Be Starting My Practice Questions On The Saunder's Cd Recommended By Suzanne. I Will Be Following Her Program Because It Looks Like It Has Worked For A Lot Of People Here And Passed The Board (nclex-rn)..my Questions Is, Which Mode Should I Be Using (study, Review, Or Exam?) And Then Once You Click One Of The Modes It'll Give You Another Choices ( Level Of Cognitive Ability, Client Needs, Integrated Process, Content Area) Then Another Choices Which Is The Nursing Process, Health Promotion, Infection Prevention.... I'm Stuck Coz I Don't Know Which One I Should Be Focusing More. Suzanne Recommended To Only Do 100 Questions Per Day But How Can You Fit It All In Just 100? Please Help, I Have Exactly 6 Weeks To Prepare As What's On Suzanne's Program.......please Help!!!!!!!!!!

Thank You!

Prioritizing is basically about taking what you learned in nursing school, then adding common sense into it. How to make an informed decision on what you would do.

As much as none of you liked doing care plans when you were in school, they are quite helpful when it comes to thinking about the priority questions that are on the exam.

Do you have any care plan books still around? That would work as well.

Hi, Suzanne

Welcome back! Hope things are well with you in your new job and place. As you may have read my post, I have been utilizing your 6-week study program and I'm strictly following it. Today is my 4th day and I haven't had a satisfactory grade ( 63-65 ). I know I should not panick but I'm just hoping that I'm going the right track. I noticed that I have been patient with the choices and rethinking each of them before finalizing my answer. I have only been doing one category so far ( Client needs/physiological integrity). Do you think spending 4 days on this category is too much and might cause me to lose time with the other categories? I'm just a bit disappointed with my scores that's why I kinda decided to keep practicing this category until I score much better. Your advise and insight is much appreciated.. Thanks!

( I tried to PM you this but for some reason it kept telling me that there was an error..so I'm not sure if you receive it via PM..Sorry if there was multiple duplicates..I decided to post it here just incase...:imbar )

You can also pick an exam that will give you questions on multiple topics, you may want to try this as well. I wouldn't focus on your score but how well that you are understanding what they are looking for with each of the questions. That is why reviewing the rationale is so important.:wink2:

where in the Saunders CD will I find that type of exam ( comprehensive type with multiple topic/category)?

Cntw82BanRN.... have you tried the study mode? It will give you more than 700-1000+ questions. And also the exam mode 100 randomly chosen questions from the entire pool. First I tried the study mode but i cancelled it right away because it gives me 1,400+ questions. I try it again for the second time (study mode) it give me 700+ Qs and there i finished it for almost 6 days.

Suzanne4...... aside from saunder's comprehensive review book, are you aware of the new saunders book called "saunder's strategies"? I know the exam is very tricky....do you recommend this with comprehensive?

chichipaypay....Yes, I'm actually doing the exam mode which gives me 100 questions per exam. Then when you click on the "exam" It give gives you four categories to choose (Level of cognitive ability, client needs, integrated process, and content area) then when you choose one of those it will give you subcategories ( for each of them ) to choose from. Right now I'm doing category client needs with subcategory Physiological integrity. Once chosen, I get 100 questions to answer focusing oon these category/subcategory. So I'm wondering if there's anywhere in the CD that will allow me to do a comprehensive type of exam covering all categories and subcategories. Any idea??? Thanks!!

I believe you're using the 3rd ed. I'm using the 2nd ed and I dont have any categories to select but as what I've heard they both have the same contents except the new format :)

yes, I'm using the Saunders 3rd edition.

If you concentrate on the Comprehensive Review, as well as read the articles that I sent you, that is all that you should need.

I would try to get thru as many different areas that you can, do not spend too much time on one area. Get a review done of everything, then go back to the areas where you think that you need more help.

There isn't a problem with just doing 10 questions form each area and see how you are doing with the different areas. You may find that some areas are much easier for you.

Hi! Ms. Suzanne, how can I available of your 6 week program with saunders'cd. I have saunders' comprehensive book and cd also. I haven't started reviewing yet but I'm already planning to put things in proper order. I need to focus. Although I haven't applied yet. I'm planning to apply in new Jersey state for nclex rn exam. For how long it will took me to wait for the processing till I get the ATT?I'm not yet starting but I'm nervous already because of what I have read and heard about taking NCLEX aside from the preparation, the cost and the waiting times and of course the result. Please help! I hope and pray that I can make it coz I don't have lots of money to spend and its our future. Without this exam, we couldn't be working as an RN. Thanks!:thankya:
