Hello, Everybody And Suzanne....
This Week I Will Be Starting My Practice Questions On The Saunder's Cd Recommended By Suzanne. I Will Be Following Her Program Because It Looks Like It Has Worked For A Lot Of People Here And Passed The Board (nclex-rn)..my Questions Is, Which Mode Should I Be Using (study, Review, Or Exam?) And Then Once You Click One Of The Modes It'll Give You Another Choices ( Level Of Cognitive Ability, Client Needs, Integrated Process, Content Area) Then Another Choices Which Is The Nursing Process, Health Promotion, Infection Prevention.... I'm Stuck Coz I Don't Know Which One I Should Be Focusing More. Suzanne Recommended To Only Do 100 Questions Per Day But How Can You Fit It All In Just 100? Please Help, I Have Exactly 6 Weeks To Prepare As What's On Suzanne's Program.......please Help!!!!!!!!!!
Thank You!
If you have the second edition, you should be able to pass as well. That is what we used when I was overseas, and my students all passed. But I suggest that you get the book that goes along with it to use as a review as needed.
You really should have a legitimate copy...............:wink2:
Suzanne, I am brand new to Allnurses.com and this is my first post here. What is your 6-week study program? I just took the NCLEX-RN for the 2nd time. (The 1st time I had 80 questions and did not pass , and the 2nd time I had 265. I am now waiting for the results. I don't know if I passed yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed). The thought of having to take it again is agonizing. But if I do, I think I need a different study method.
This is what worked for me with the Saunders book and cd. I would take a quiz on a content area ...if i tested below 70%, I would read up on that area in the book and then go back to the CD and take the study part for that area just to drill it in . Then I would take the test in the same area and usually after all that I would score in the 90% -95% in that area. Also, I based the concentration of my studies on the weaknesses that were identified from the Mosby's practice exam. Hope that helps!
where in the Saunders CD will I find that type of exam ( comprehensive type with multiple topic/category)?
I think you either click on ''study' or 'exam', one of those. Whichever one it is, you can select multiple tests, such as maternity, endocrine, etc. This way, you will get practice questions from several areas, not just one. Good luck.
