I want to become a nurse just like most of you. I am considering Apollo but the price scares me:o!! It's super fast!! It'll be great to be done in 22 months. What do you guys think?

*** Why when you could be an RN in 22 months from an accredited public program for well under $10K? Is it because going to school in another state is simply impossible for you?

Yes, I take care of my mother. She is 62 and handicapped.

how about going to a public school with a better reputation and that will only cost $5000 a year? Oh plus the public school programs are 16 months instead....My reasoning for choosing UNLV over CSN is because once you finish your pre-reqs at CSN you end up wasting two semesters while waiting to be able to apply and begin the program IF you even get in...in which case you would have to wait another 6 months to start the next years program. UNLV however has more enrollment periods (spr, sum, and fall as opposed to just spr and fall) and the application deadline is only a month before the program starts, PLUS they recently added more clinical hours and you would most likely end up finishing the extra pre-reqs by the time you would even be able to apply to CSN and you end up with a BSN instead of an ADN....JMHO

It's been 3.5 years. That would mean the OP graduated mid-late 09. Wonder if she ever found a job to pay back that 43k for an ADN?

The answer is right here for 09 NCLEX pass rates....

Carrington College, Las Vegas Taken 106 Passed 59 % 55.66

lowest in the state also they are provisional so basically since they still haven't gotten full status in over three years it means that when you want to leave Nevada there might be chance that the state you go to won't even accept your degree.

Then again if you want to go off the statistics...National University had a 100% passing rate yet only one person qualified to take it.
